Compass Coat

Love the coat and have been complimented on the colour. It is a big fit but this suits if you wear something bulky underneath in the cold weather. The quality is very good although the sleeves run long but again will be an asset in the rain. Not tested in the rain yet but very confident it will do what it says.

Not for me

A lovely coat but sadly I looked frumpish in it. I think it was the draw string waist that didn't suit me.

Compass Coat

Lovely rain coat, extremely light and easy to wear. I find the front patch pockets a bit tricky to get in to and on one the stitching has come loose but apart from that love the coat. Agree that the lining is lighter than some that I tried in the shop but did want something in between so its ideal. Haven't tested in heavy weather yet.

Love it!

I actually bought this after seeing it in store, having originally bought the windward coat online. I read the previous reviews and thought perhaps it wouldn't be quite right, but having tried it on, I loved the colour, length and fit. I think it's a littler trendier than some of the other Seasalt coats, and I really like the nice big pockets. I'd call this mid-weight - there are thicker jackets but I wanted something in between so it's perfect for me. I also thought the size was about spot on, as a standard size 10. Maybe except for the cuffs, which I know can be turned up but I probably would have just preferred normal length sleeves.

Not warm or cosy!

This isn't a problem with the coat so much as the way it's described! I've no doubt it's waterproof (although i haven't tested this out because it's going back) but it's described as fleecy and quilted and it really isn't - there's a bit of fluffy stuff at the back of the ribcage, and there's silky stuff sewn in a diamond pattern so it looks like quilting, but it's really really thin. I was expecting a warm winter coat, this is really just a light raincoat. Disappointed!

(Also i've ordered my usual size and it's massive)

One point, though, another reviewer said the waist is in the wrong place and on me it's spot on, maybe it depends on different people's proportions.
