Oh my gosh.......

I have admired Seasalt waterproof coats for many years but have never got round to purchasing one...what a mistake! The Porth Mellin rocked up this morning and it’s fabulous. Soft yet sturdy. Plenty of pockets and goes over my boobs! It seems lightweight enough to wear for spring storms but there’s enough space for a hoody when it’s colder. Thank you so much as it was your NHS discount that encouraged me to purchase ❤️

Great coat

Great raincoat. Stylish, pretty and the material is so soft and nice to touch, unlike usual raincoats. I love it.

Awesome raincoat

I have been looking for a petite, breathable, waterproof, longer-length coat that doesn't look like a sack on me for years. I have in fact "never" owned a coat coat with all the above ticked. I am 5ft and size 8/10 - my shoulders are an 8 really, but I have a 32F bust so I usually opt for a 10 in tops but, in general, it is extremely difficult to find good fitting tops, and jackets/coats. I bought the petite olive in size 10 (based on the measurements provided on the website) It is fab! I can't review the waterproof ability as typically the sun came out as soon as I purchased it, but I am sure that will be good too. The sleeves are a little long, but the 10 is roomy enough for me to wear a big jumper underneath. I think the 8 would have fitted better in the arms but would be snug with an extra layer, so I opted for the 10. The front hits the top of my knee and the back just below. It has a lovely fitted Aline shape which you can clinch in at the waist depending on preference. Fabulous pockets everywhere, no patterns or stripes on the lining - which is my preference. I ummed and ahhhed on the colour for ages - so if I feel flush in the future or the petite red goes on sale, might just get that one in an 8 for a more fitted version!! Thank-you Seasalt!! finally I can buy coats that look great on me :)

Good Coat

Very pleased with this coat. The sleeves are not too long and it fits well. I haven't worn it in the rain yet so don't know how waterproof it is.

Arrived this morning and immediately put it on. I simply love this raincoat. The style, availability of pockets and colour (Clay) is perfect for what I have in mind, for my Spring/Summer wardrobe. It feels a little snug, compared to my other SeaSalt coats. However, that may be due to my Winter comfort indulgences! Living by a Estuary, may now have the same romanticism, as living by the beautiful Cornish coast. Nevertheless, SeaSalt raincoats are simply a must.

One very pleased mum

Bought this coat for my mum as a birthday present. She loves the fit, the colour and all the useful pockets. On her birthday it was pouring with rain so this went down very well. Very pleased with the speed of delivery for this order and with past orders, plus a very friendly team.

Fabulous & stylish rain coat.

I have bought many lovely raincoats from Seasalt in the past year or so due to me owning a ‘love walking in the rain’ Mini Schnauzer ! The Porth Mellin coat is my favourite coat due to its great style and also its Olive Green colour. It has proved to be completely rain proof and is very warm too. I love it!

Flattering. A-line. Basically lovely!

Dear Seasalt, well done, take a bow,
The Porth Mellin coat is truly – Wow!
My first Seasalt coat that gives me shape,
But all your coats are fantastic - (I own about eight.)

The Porth Mellin is A-line (a really lovely shape)
My Seasalt coats (so far,) have all been rather straight,
And herein lies the problem, I now relate.

I'm five foot four with a 16 tum,
14 shoulders, 15 bust and an 18 bum!
When a coat fits my top, it pulls round my bottom/hips, you see,
But if it fits at my hips my top looks like I'm growing into it (like I'm three!)
And I like pockets! where my gloves can be secluded,
Even with the Porth Mellin coat, I needed hip/pocket space included.

With the Porth Mellin coat I found on top the 18 fitted best,
It fitted like a 16 of my other Seasalt coats (most of the rest)
So I bought the 20! Because of the hip space (I don't jest.)

And though strictly speaking 20 is too big on the top – it's okay
The fabric is soft, not stiff and it's recycled (hip hip Hooray!)
And since I bought it last week, I've worn it every day!!!
And it's wide at my hips/bottom for all of my stuff,
I can even sit down and drive, when it's totally zipped up!

So Seasalt, I thank you, for starting to cater,
For us middle height, A-line folk, and hope sooner, not later,
That Seasalt design a new (Plant Hunter?) style coat,
That's wide enough at the hips for middle height me, I hope,
That's A-line-ness starts from just under each arm,
Now my fingers crossed and I'm keeping calm!

Brilliant coat

This is a lovely jacket, perfect for those autumn/spring days when you do not need a heavy coat and it is waterproof. Perfect fit. Well done Seasalt.

Recycled Polyester Tide Cycle

Inspired by our love of the sea

Our innovative coats give new life to plastic waste

Tide Cycle® is woven from recycled polyester fibres made with plastic bottles. It’s waterproof, breathable, hardwearing, easy to care for and extremely soft to the touch. Production requires less energy than virgin polyester and it helps reduce the amount of plastic heading for landfill and our oceans.

Tide Cycle
Tide Cycle

Single-use plastic bottles are collected and broken down

Tide Cycle

The small plastic particles are then re-spun into polyester fibres

Tide Cycle

These are then woven into the Tide Cycle® fabric we use for our all-weather coats.
