Fully waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Developed for style and performance, our High Water Coat is hardwearing, breathable and exceptionally soft. This knee-length, mid-weight style works in the city or by the sea, with a relaxed straight-cut fit that can be adjusted with waist tabs, for a feminine silhouette. It’s finished with a two-way zip, generous hood, adjustable cuffs, side pockets and two secure internal pockets. The upper body and hood is lined with cotton chambray, while the lower half and arms are lined with polyester for ease of movement.

TIDE CYCLE®

As part of our commitment to turning the tide on plastic pollution, this coat is made from our new, waterproof Tide Cycle® fabric, which is woven from recycled polyester fibres from used plastic bottles. It’s waterproof, breathable, hardwearing, easy to care for and extremely soft to the touch. Production requires less energy than virgin polyester and it helps reduce the amount of plastic flowing into our oceans or heading for landfill.

Great all weather coat

Very happy with the coat, it's not very thick but is very warm and is a great waterproof/windproof long coat. Would have liked a zip or popper on the pockets, but its not a big problem, just something for Seasalt to think about for future designs. I bought the coat in a forest green, it looks good, but would also have preferred some brighter colours, this was the best of the muted colours available. I'm a large size 14 and bought the 16 so that I could wear jumpers underneath. Fit is perfect. Definitely recommended. A good quality coat at a good price. Arrived quickly and well packaged.

High Quality Coat Thoughtfully Designed

This coat is so thoughtfully designed you can almost feel the thought and effort that went into making it absolutely practical without making it look awful. I have a spaniel who actually likes going out when it is teaming down. This coat has pockets that apply accommodate leads, bags, treats, car keys, phone etc. The lining keeps you warm, the length protects you from wind and rain and the hood stays up without making you feel trapped by it. The material doesn't squeak when you walk and feels soft and natural. The only reason why I do not thrill every time I put it on is because I bought a 14 instead of the size they advised me to buy, a 12. They were right because it is too big but I wore it and can't send it back because it was my fault! So listen to them as it is a generous fit.

Just what I was looking for.

Bit of an impulsive purchase! But I’d been looking for a coat to walk in and keep my legs dry!! Lovely length. Slightly fitted so looks a bit smarter. Great weight. Already well tested, leaving me very smug and dry! Thank you.

Beautiful coat!

I have worn this coat just this morning - it is so soft, light and warm! Perfect fit and length for me - I have several Seasalt coats and this is going to be my favourite right now!! I love the colour but the softness is what really does it for me. Thank you!

Delighted

I ordered this coat in a size 10, I’m 168 cm and 56 kg and delighted with the fit. The sleeves are long enough. I like having buttons on the back and wrists both for the detail and fit, I use both. I bought this coat instead of the other cosier looking versions because I do a lot of walking which keeps me warm and the hood seemed to be big enough. I like the eco credentials of the coat. I’ve tried it out in heavy wind and rain and was both warm and dry. I agree with another review the flaps on the pockets don’t stay down in the wind. It’s not bulky. I could only have it in Moorland which isn’t really my colour. However, the first time I saw it my neighbour remarked on it and she’s ordered one too! Top marks Seasalt.

Too tight

I like this coat as it has a nice lookinga outer material, is lightly padded without fleece on the hood (c'mon Seasalt, for my todler is OK but not for an adult) and is not too long. Therefore I am so sad that it has a design flop. It's too tight at the botom considering it ends just below the knee. Basically, it's not difficult to figure out that all the rain water will end up on my calfs while walking.

New favourite coat

I almost didn't order this coat because of the photos. I'm quite short and if the coat looks huge even on the model, surely it would swamp me?! So I waffled and wavered, but decided to give it a try in the end, and I'm glad I did. I have more Seasalt coats than I care to admit, and this one is definitely up there as one of the best. It's very light, soft and breathes well (perhaps not quite what you expect when you hear that it's made of recycled bottles!). This one perfectly encapsulates everything I want from a Seasalt coat: to feel like I'm wearing a blankie, but not look like I am!
I'm 5'2 and high-waisted, the waist hits more or less the correct spot, and the hem comes to slightly below my knees.
Not sure about the choice of buttons instead of snaps in the back and on the cuffs, I'm a bit fearful of accidentally tearing them off when removing a backpack or a sling bag, but that's a minor quibble.
Lastly, note to Seasalt: please use at least some product photos where the model wears the coat buttoned/zipped up, as that is how most of us will be wearing the coat.

Lovely light coat

I had to buy this on line as Lyme Regis didn't have any. It is light and I am sure warm but sadly it is very long. Much longer than my North Star...yes Seasalt coats do last that long ...and also longer than my planthunter. 😰

Love this coat

I absolutely love this coat comfortable, doesn’t just say it’s waterproof which has happened with other makes...it is waterproof I live in the north of England so it gets plenty of practice! Love the colour as well.

Recycled Polyester Tide Cycle

Inspired by our love of the sea

Our innovative coats give new life to plastic waste

Tide Cycle® is woven from recycled polyester fibres made with plastic bottles. It’s waterproof, breathable, hardwearing, easy to care for and extremely soft to the touch. Production requires less energy than virgin polyester and it helps reduce the amount of plastic heading for landfill and our oceans.

Tide Cycle
Tide Cycle

Single-use plastic bottles are collected and broken down

Tide Cycle

The small plastic particles are then re-spun into polyester fibres

Tide Cycle

These are then woven into the Tide Cycle® fabric we use for our all-weather coats.
