Fantastic and Practical

I bought this jacket to wear whilst my husband ran the Brighton marathon. It succeeded in two things. It kept me dry and it made it very easy for my husband to spot me shrieking like a mad woman from the side of the road. It also garnered many compliments and I am looking forward to wearing it again.

At 5’4 the longer length came to mid thigh, and I’d say that the jacket came up on the small side so I was glad to have sizes up to a 12.

Raspberry red

I love this jacket and will get great use from it. It is a good fit and I love the colours.

The only negative is the jacket was very crumpled when I received it and was very difficult to iron the creases out

Dear Adin,
Thanks for your review of the Long Seafolly Jacket; great to hear you love the colour and fit. We wouldn't recommend ironing the surface, as this might damage the special waterproof surface of the fabric. However, there is something else you might like to try: if your iron has a "continuous steam" setting (often used for items already hanging, e.g. curtains) this is extremely useful for reducing creases in garments. It's a similar process to the professional steamer machines used in many clothing shops.
Simply hang the coat up, then from a short distance away, use the continuous steam setting on a medium heat, to allow steam to penetrate the fabric without the iron actually touching the coat. It's usually very quick and effective.
Alternatively, you can hang the coat in a steamy environment, such as a bathroom for a short while. The creases should naturally fall out.
I hope this advice helps. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.
Best wishes, Seasalt

Another superb mac

I already own a green Bowsprit jacket which i love but i fancied a change. I saw this Long Seafolly coat on a Seasalt stockists website so i decided to give it a go. I went for the Squid Ink in my usual size 8. It fits like a dream and the quality is fantastic. X

Awesome plus-size waterproof jacket

I was a bit nervous as there were no measurements other than the waist measurement. I'm normally a size 26 (UK) so I ordered a size 26 despite the waist measurement not really matching up for a normal 26 I would wear. It fits okay for me, though. It's a little bit tight around the hips and a little bit loose around the waist. Despite this, it's great at being 100% waterproof and is also nice and cozy. It's a great length but I find the lack of buttons/zips on the outside pockets to be a bit strange.

My stylish Spring favourite

Loved this coat, the lining and inside the pockets is so soft, very lightweight but completely warm in a cold wind and most importantly in UK waterproof

Useful and smart

I'm very pleased with this jacket and really like the fact that it is cotton (and waterproof). Goes well over a jumper or smarter jacket and feels light to wear. The hood is excellent. The material is a bit crackly as you walk but not too bad! Agree with others that it is worth considering a size larger.

Long Seafolly

I saw this and jumped at the chance to buy one! I am just under 5'4" and a size 12 and the jacket is a perfect fit. I love the colour - greengage. I love the deep pockets(perfect for dog walking) , but my single criticism is that there isn't an inner pocket. That aside , it is an excellent coat. Delivery was very prompt as always.

Excellent quality, classic design, flattering cut

I'm 5'4" and the slightly longer length of the Seafolly Jacket is so flattering on my frame. I usually take 12 in clothing and would say that the coat is true to size, but the sizing is definitely more fitted than roomy. I could easily wear a jumper underneath with size 12, but depending on your preference may want to size up, especially if you have broad shoulders. The quality is fantastic and the fit cute and feminine with the subtle A-line cut at the bottom.

I was torn between the Fathom (classic, versatile), Redcurrant (flattering against my skin tone) and Mustard (fits so well with the design of the coat) colours but in the end decided to go for the Mustard because of the classic fisherman's mac look. It looks fantastic paired with dark wash denim, tan duck boots and a navy beret.

The staff at the Bracknell store were lovely and gave me good advice on how to take care of my new coat. Very pleased with my first Seasalt purchase!

Long Seafolly Jacket

Beware - get ready to size up. As with the jackets/coats I have purchased the fit is tight rather than roomy and that is without a sweater, so it actually feels two sizes smaller than stated. Otherwise lovely jacket, great fabric and original style but your correct feel and fit will have a label that indicates a size two sizes up from what you would normally wear
