Fully waterproof, windproof and breathable

Our Polperro 3 Season Coat is a versatile parka-inspired coat that you can wear almost all year round. Stylish and contemporary, the clever design means you can wear it in two ways - the brushed cotton inner adds warmth during the winter, but can be unbuttoned and removed for spring and autumn days. It has a fixed peaked hood to keep the wind and rain off your face and leather pulls so you can adjust it for the perfect fit. The concealed placket gives it a clean, sophisticated look, and you can cinch it in at the waist for a more feminine silhouette. It's finished with a two-way zip, angled pockets, and an interior phone pocket in both layers. The ribbed cuffs on the inner layer add extra warmth and you can roll the outer cuffs up or down to suit. Tried and tested on Cornish clifftops, it can handle anything the weather has to throw at it.

Just my thoughts

Well worn this a few times with the lining in. It's a funny fit. Must admit not tried with out the liner as I cycle to work and it's cold still at night. Due to the drop shoulder it has restricted movement. When I bought it I thought it was because the fabric was new and they soften after a couple of wears. ( my others have). The plus size is the cuff area it is narrow and shaped better for me as I fold my others back and they are not as neat as this. The tulip cuff is perfect for shorter people like me. Length is great. Just the fit on the shoulders arm area is not great. Fabric absolute marvellous as always.

Excellent All Weather Coat

Really pleased with this coat, which arrived just in time for me to queue for 2 hours for a theatre performance in wet, cold, windy weather. I was warm and dry. I am 5'3 1/2" tall and medium build. Size 12 fits me perfectly with room for a jumper underneath. No problem with sleeves or cuffs. Just perfect.

Polperro 3 season coat

Another beautifully made coat i have 3, and good a fit apart from the sleeves, i find them a little narrow/tight,and the drop shoulder restricting. Although I'm an 18 and the coat fits well everywhere else, quite a generous fit really. When i eventually remove the lining for warmer weather it might feel a little different.

Still impressed with Polperro!

I wanted to write another review on this coat because after wearing it all winter (which is still dragging on here in Canada) it has impressed me in so many ways. Firstly, I didn't anticipate this coat would carry me through the most frigid days of our Canadian winter. I had purchased it more as a fall, early winter, and spring coat. One day, after a "warmer" spell, I walked out the door for work and was hit with -25˚C temperatures (even colder with the windchill). I was pleasantly surprised to find the coat managed to keep me just as warm as my bulky down parka, which cost more than 3 times as much. It has stood up marvellously to the wind, snow, and freezing rain, and I find the cotton has becoming even softer with wear. I'm so, so pleased.

Very Disappointed

I bought this last week in the sale, I loved it when I tried it on, I got rid of all the packaging as I thought this is a keeper, love the colour of the navy and leather trims etc. I wore it for the first time today, without the lining, I wanted it as a spring/autumn weatherproof jacket. My friends at once told me the hem at the back was a good 2" shorter than the front and no matter how they tried to pull it back down the lining was pulling it up again! Obviously, the lining is too short for the coat when worn. I will ring Saesalt tomorrow when they open as I have no packaging to send it back in and it has been worn once. So the fit of the lining is terrible and there is no box for that!

Disappointed

Really wanted to love this, i've been looking for a khaki coat for ages. My trusty Seasalt Janelle coat is now on it's third winter and had given brilliant service. This coat felt stiff, but the colour and lining was ok. The biggest problem was sleeve length - about 4 inches too short for me, and that was with the extended cuff, without it the sleeves woould be round my elbow. Sadly returned.

Something not right

This is fundamentally a good coat, warm, waterproof but it has a flaw in the design of the sleeves. My coat is awkward to drive in, somehow the fit is not right at all. Considering it is quite expensive I think it is something you need to look at. I bought larger size than normal to accommodate jumpers but it is still not right. It is also quite hard to put on. My Seasalt purchases have let me down this year as I bought 2 ridiculous jumpers that bobble. I have spent a lot of money for a disappointing season.

Love this coat!!!

So happy with this coat!!! And surprised how warm it is with the winter insert! Was out and about with it in - 5° the other day and stayed nice and cosy during the whole of my two hour walk. I've also been rained on a few times already and stayed absolutely dry. Would have given it five anchors but because it sits slightly snug around the shoulders, making it a little restrictive at times I'm giving it four. Love it though and would always buy again! Thanks Seasalt for keeping me warm and dry on my daily pram walks in wintery Glasgow xx

Great Raincoat

I love this coat so much! I ordered it from the US actually and I'm glad I decided to take the plunge. I needed a new raincoat and wanted something a little warmer. This is very comfortable and warm but still stylish with the ability to adjust the waist. The material doesn't seem like it would be waterproof but it is! I got it in the red color and it is very beautiful.

Beautiful to begin with but wears badly

This is a lovely coat at first (apart from the exceptionally short sleeves which others mention, but I could look past due to the good things about it). However 4 months into owning it and the tag has come off the zip, the seam on one of the arms is coming away where the inner layer attaches, the dye has faded completely over the button presses and threads are coming loose on the front seams. This coat has not worn well considering the price point!

Excellent waterproof coat

I purchased this coat in October mainly for a trip to Venice with 40 art students, which, from experience means being outside most of the time and getting rained on. This coat did not disappoint. The service I had in the Chichester store was fantastic as the size 10 was too big. I went for madder in the end (don't normally go for red) but the sales assistant was right, it was a good colour for me! The 8 fits perfectly (they had a return out the back) so would consider sizing down. Many thanks to the Chichester staff.

Poor design

I am so disappointed with this coat! The colour is nice. Yes that's the only good thing I can say about it. It is terribly heavy and simply just not warm enough considering how weighty it is to wear. The arms are the issue. The coat rides terribly so makes movement of the arms really difficult. I tend to use a coat as I move around on cold days but it seems that the design isn't geared toward that, rather it only works if you choose to stand still. I called Seasalt to discuss an exchange as the design is so poor and was met with friendly advisors but offered little more than 'Sorry about that"
I was disappointed to hear this on the phone but when I come to the reviews and see that Seasalt are aware of this and that it isn't an isolated incident, I actually feel pretty cheated. You should do better Seasalt. I have purchased many items from you and cannot afford £165 per one wear of a coat that despite the weight isn't even warm. Not good. At all

Polperro coat in navey

Just received my coat,it’s wonderfull .I ordered the size down as other people had said it came up large .Yes I would say that if you have wide arms then you might find it restricting, but I find it very cosy. Love the 2 way zip .Mine is a size 12 ,just right over a thick bat wing jumper.Thank you sea salt.

Quality coat

I wanted a coat that is smart and waterproof and this is ideal. Ordered a size 16 (my usual) but that was way too big so swapped it for a 14 which is a good fit. The woman in the shop gave detailed instructions on washing and reproofing (same as for foul weather gear for walking on Dartmoor apparently). Quite warm for a Devon winter so have taken out the inner coat. LOVE the style of the cuffs on the main coat. Glad to have found a coat without fake fur on the hood, which seems to be ubiquitous this winter but probably won't be in a couple of years. Only thing I don't like about the stye is the flappy bits round the waist for the drawstring. It ruins the line. Fortunately easy to conceal in the flap though.

Bit of a shame....

Seemed like the perfect green coat, the cuff folds back flat for day to day use, i've had lots of compliments, and without lining it's very comfortable. But....
The navy lining is a bit brighter than I thought so it's a bit more 'dog walker' than 'urban parka'
The lining makes the arms pull when you move, referring to other reviews.
I didn't realise the lining had arms and it's a shame it doesn't fasten independently.
I probably won't wear the lining so as a standalone raincoat, it wasn't worth the price. One of the leather toggles is missing as well.
I don't think I will buy online from Seasalt again. I usually buy in Sidmouth/Devon, miles from where I live, but at least I avoid expensive mistakes.

polperro 3 season coat

i have waited to review this coat until i had tested it in cold, wet weather. This is the warmest coat i have ever had, wind proof, tested on Saunton Sands beach in January and Instow beach on a very cold day, bingo, job done. Lovely colour and good fit. A little restrictive due to the dropped shoulder seam but not worth returning for that. Thank you Seasalt

Excellent Overall Raincoat

When I first saw this raincoat online, I thought it was exactly what I was looking for, but after reading all the reviews, the unfavourable ones made be a bit hesitant. I'm an international customer and didn't want to go through the trouble and expense of returning the coat if it wasn't quite right. When I found it on sale with another online retailer, I decided to take a chance and ordered it. I'm so glad I trusted my first instinct as I find the Polperro an excellent overall raincoat!

I think this is one of those raincoats that people will either love or hate because the cut and style are unique and might not suit all. I'm one who loves it. I was specifically looking for a raincoat that was more on the boxy side, long enough to cover my thighs, roomy enough to wear a jumper in, light enough to wear in the spring or on a cool summer night, but also heavy enough to keep me warm on cold and rainy days as I found my lighter trench coat always left me feeling quite chilled. The Polperro checks all those boxes! Plus, it came in the perfect shade of green - my favourite colour!

To address some of the negative comments...

Yes, it is a larger fit. I reviewed the measurements and sized down one size and find it's still super roomy. The drawstring waistband, however, gives me the flexibility of wearing it loosely or cinching it in for a more tailored look. So, whether I'm puttering around running errands or needing something a little more stylish to wear to work, this coat fits the bill. Bonus points for versatility!

Yes, it does have a dropped shoulder cut but I believe that's what adds to its unique and attractive style. The fabric has quite a bit of give to it, so I don't find it restrictive in the shoulders or arms at all.

Yes, it does ride up if I lift my arms, but I find all coats do that (some more than others). But as I'm typically not going about flailing my arms in the air, I don't find this to be a problem.

Yes, it would have been nice if the liner could be worn separately, but I really didn't find it to be that attractive on its own anyway, so I'm not bothered. I rarely find removable liners that are. I do appreciate, however, having a liner that is removable because it makes this coat much more flexible and wearable year-round. This equals great value to me.

All in all, I'm very pleased with the Polperro raincoat and know I'll get a lot of wear out of it for many years to come.

Terrible fit.

Was really disappointed with this coat. I’d been thinking of ordering it for a while and had high expectations!
The colour is lovely but the fit is terrible. The arm seams are too low and this means they pull when you lift your arms, I’m amaized this design got past testing!
I’m a 10-12 and ordered the 12 but it was still uncomfortable around the arms.
Such a shame as the colour was just what I wanted. This is the only Seasalt Coat I have been unhappy with, and Iv had a fair few!
I wouldn’t recommend this coat.

Dashed Hopes

Coveted this jacket for some time. When I finally took the plunge and ordered, I was delighted with the length, colour, quality of the materials, storm cuffs and brilliant removable liner BUT the cut of the sleeves makes it impossibly uncomfortable to wear. The armholes and dropped shoulder seams are so low that it restricts arm movement significantly. In fact it feels like your bra straps have permanently fallen down around your upper arms. So, so disappointed. Had to order the Plant Hunter coat instead which us much less chic but considerably more practical. Hope this sleeve 'design feature' is rectified for next year.

POLPERRO COAT

This is a really good quality coat, however I am quite a small build and there is too much material in the upper body area so I looked like a sack of potatoes tied in the middle so not v flattering for me. Not as flattering as the other longer winter coats.

Beautiful coat

I bought this coat for my daughter, unfortunately she found it to big. I had to return it but I thought it was lovely. The colour was as you can see, especially the blue accents, they went lovely with the green. It was very well made and a good length. My daughter is tall, 5’11 and it was a great length on her. I got her another sea salt coat, she loves them. They are the only real waterproof coats out there.

Spontaneous Combustion

Even with the liner buttoned out, this coat is so heavy that I would melt if I went walking in it. Its suited to a colder climate than NW Ireland or someone who feels perpetually cold. Definitely won't be taking it to Cornwall at Xmas or I'd spontaneously combust. When the liner is removed, the sleeves are too short. Love the peak on the hood and wish I could have it on my lightweight Polperro.

Beautiful coat, let down by the ‘batwing’ sleeves

I really wanted this coat. The colour is lovely, the removable liner is perfect, such a brilliant idea, the coat is soft inside and gloriously warm. I just couldn’t get to grips with the ‘batwing’ style - each time you raise an arm, the whole coat rides up. It would get really irritating when throwing a ball for the dog. So very disappointed that I had to return an otherwise fabulous coat.

Happy

I ordered this coat online after looking into a few different waterproof coat options. I liked that Seasalt as a brand has relatively transparent policies on how they conduct business and manufacturing and which charities they support. I tried on in store then ordered online as the reviews mentioned a bigger fit-I ended up ordering a size smaller than what I had anticipated me fitting into based on the websites size guide. I loved all three colours but ended up ordering the navy as it would match better with my wardrobe. I’m from Canada and had been looking for the perfect winter raincoat for the UK weather and was most impressed by Seasalt’s quality and transparency in their products. Would order again, well worth the money for the quality. My only wish is that the inner lining had buttons or a way to fasten it up as a jacket to be worn separately- there is no way to close the inner lining if you wear it alone as a jacket.

So pleased with this purchase....it fulfils my needs perfectly....warm,waterproof and stylish. The lovely deeper shade of red is brightening without being overwhelming. Fit good too...though I heeded the advice of other reviews and went with the smaller size.

So close to perfect...

I have been looking for a coat that is light enough for summer, long enough to sit on and waterproof enough for the North West, so when I found this I thought I'd hit the jackpot. Ordered it from John Lewis, and found it to fit pleasantly on the generous size but the droped sleeves cut across my biceps and restricted my movement. Sadly I couldn't ignore this and had to send it back. I'm hoping to find something else on here that doesn't have droped sleeves.

Polperro Perfection!

This coat will be perfect for winters in England (or anywhere else winters are cold, wet and windy!). The removable lining is what sold me on this coat. The Polperro is toasty with the lining in, but still substantially cozy without for milder weather..
The length is perfect for me - I am 5’3” and 142 lbs.. I like the square cut at the bottom. Normally, I would buy a 12 in a coat or jacket as I have a broad back and shoulders but, because of the lining, I ordered a 14 to have extra shoulder room and room for layering. It’s roomy, but comfortable.
Thanks, Seasalt!

I have not been able to make full use of the coat as weather has been too good! need more rain and cold!.

However i love the style of the coat. It looks great. Definitly need to order a size smaller that normal (thanks to other reviews, i did). I could possibly have had a further size smaller but the arms / shoulders would then have been tight. As you can adjust the fit at the waist, i have stuck with this size.. length perfect to be well below my bottom but not too long and flappy.

I am 74 and it's the best rain coat I have ever had! But!?!?! I needed the extra size for shoulder room to drive and the phone pocket could have been a bit longer as the Velcro would not lose over my iPhone! I just love the hood as it has a little added viser, most useful when dog walking with the winter low sun in my eyes.

Almost perfect, but not quite...

Bought this coat in the Woodland colour, and a beautiful green it is - I'd call it a 'bright' army green It pairs beautifully with the mainly navy lining.
For me, it does have a few niggly features - I found that the sizing overall was true to size (12) for me (I haven't yet worn it without the lining, but I'm not anticipating a problem in this area.) However, I find that the sleeves are just a tad short (Im 5'3" and don't have particularly long arms!!) and as others have said - the coat does ride up if I stretch my arms up when it's zipped up. I think that's because its a tiny bit restrictive in the shoulder area (for me) and it might be my imagination, but the arms are set in at a slight 'batwing'? I also find the draw string at the waist on the coat is set a little bit higher than my actual waist (but this issue I find on other clothes so maybe that's me!) I tend to wear clothes loose/boxy/androgynous, so the waist issue is not a major problem for me. Having had a little moan about some of the fine tuning on this coat, I have not returned it because the advantages outweigh the niggles. I have to walk quite a long distance from my car to my workplace, often carrying bags, so on rainy days, this coat eliminates the need for me to try to juggle an open umbrella too - the hood with the peak is absolutely brilliant. Also, I think it's just the right balance between practicality/function, and style.

Lovely jacket and warm green - tried on in several shops first before ordering on line - thank you Chichester and Bury St Edmunds stores. This jacket is cosy and waterproof. Great addition to the wardrobe. I am 5' 9" and a size 12/14 - the 12 is a good fit. I have long arms so the cuff is great as when they are turned down they add extra length. Thank you

Ps

This is a Ps from my review yesterday. I forgot to mention the most important bit of feedback I wanted Seasalt to know about: THANKFULLY it doesn’t have the longer scooped bit at the back of the coat, that my other Seasalt coat has. I guess it’s all about personal taste but the even length looks much better especially if you are small so more like please?

Great coat

I have given this coat 5 stars even though I had to send it back only because it was too big, a size 10. I read all the reviews (thank you ladies) and ordered one size down so thought a size 10 would be fine. The size 8 was sold out on the Seasalt site so I found it somewhere else. The green looks great (I’m 52 so too much of the army look does no favours in my opinion) but this style and colour looks great. I’m only 5ft so this comes to my knees. The arms have turn-ups so I don’t look like a child wearing an adults coat! I can truely say that I have found my favourite rainy day coat. I’m just sorry I couldn’t order it from
Seasalt it’s self. More colours Seasalt and maybe a brighter red? I tried that colour on in a well known store; if your a bit older you might want a brighter colour than blue or a dull red! I’m way shorter than average height and appreciate that it’s costly for manufacturers to pander to all but maybe, Seasalt, you could spare a thought for us petite shorties? Thanks!

Not Perfect but still a good coat

The hood is huge so a bit swampy unless I wear a hat. The arms are a little tight, which others have also commented on, but not to the extent that I can't cope. The lining is nice but a zip would have been better than buttons, and could then have been a fastener for the lining in it's own right. The length is great - I wanted a coat, not a jacket, and this is just right. There is plenty of room for bulky sweaters which I wear in the depths of winter, especially as it is not as warm as I expected it to be - unlike jackets with fleece linings which can be removed.

Brilliant service

I am so impressed with Seasalt and the service online and in their shops. I tried this jacket on in Chichester and Bury St Edmunds in the Woodland colour - excellent cheerful staff in both shops assured me they could order the red in to arrive asap. I was on fleeting visits so ordered when I returned home - the red turned out to be too dark for my colouring - so chose to have the Woodland! Great jacket - well made and comfortable. Warm Cosy and I'm happy with the colour..finally. Thank you Seasalt.

Largely Brilliant Coat

I do love the coat. Ordered it in Woodland which is a beautiful colour. It’s nicely heavy and lovely and snuggly. It is a perfect fit all over except the arms! I find it really difficult to lift my arms up without the whole coat riding up. I have worn it quite a lot hoping I’d be able to get used to it and it is great for walking the dog so won’t be returning it but it is a lot of money to pay for it to be niggling me as much as it does. The quality is great except for a button that fell off of the lining the first time I tried it on but I can forgive that. Glad to see it’s not just me with the arm problem though. All in all a great winter coat!

Really Wanted to Love this Coat!

I loved the look of this coat and decided to make the plunge and go for the olive green colour in a size 10. It was gigunda! Absolutely huge with the shoulders falling way below my shoulders and just ill fitting everywhere. Plus the arms were a bit tight and when I tried stretching my arms across, it just felt tight despite the coat being huge! So I decided to return it. I bought a fab coat from Seasalt in a sale last year which I just love and fits me so well so that will have to do.

So versatile

I'm very pleased with my coat, although, without the lining in, it is a little on the large side, but, with the lining and a thick jumper underneath, I found it rather restricive, so I'm rolling the sleeves up and that's fine. Only two suggestions: I should really like to have some adjustment on the back of the hood, as I'm completely swamped by it, and it's not going to be a lot of use except for emergency cover. Also, I should love some fastenings on the liner, which would make an excellent light jacket when worn alone with the check side out. Two jackets in one :)

Super but big

The coat is super, really good under the rain but, I ordered a size less than mine because I previously order one size too big and still, it's so big! It's perfect on the shoulders but not at the wist. I'm not changing it just because it would be the second time I do. Suggest to buy 2size less

Great for a cold climate

Bought this in the fathom which is a dark navy - I'm a size 8-10 in most things but the 8 in this was the right size. The fabric is soft and looks smart. It's just knee-length, which I wanted (I'm 5ft 2ins) but without the annoying (to me) curved hem at the back which a lot of the Seasalt coats seem to have this season. Very nicely made, with a peak on the hood which is great for very cold and wet days; the lining is very warm and unpops easily, and has stretchy cuffs to tuck your gloves into. I like the inner phone-sized pocket. Yes, it does feel substantial with the lining in, and there is plenty of room in the shoulders for wearing a thick wool sweater or fleece underneath as well - perhaps more roomy than I need but the coat didn't look too chunky, giving a neat silhouette. I'd feel comfortable wearing it in the city as well as in the country. The little leather tags on the cords on the hood and at the waist are a nice design touch. As I've tried on loads of winter coats this year, looking for the perfect mix of style and waterproof quality, I don't think I am going to find anything better!

Polperro three season coat

Posted coat back because I am disabled and found it too bulky for me. Have since been to Sidmouth shop and bought the Maenporth coat which is just right.

Swamped in this coat!

I read the reviews of this coat - some concerns over tight sleeves etc. but decided to order my normal size 12. However, when it came I was utterly swamped in it. Very nice quality coat but could go down a size. As it turned out, I didn't much like the colour so it went back and I will try and go by a Seasalt shop to try different colours and sizes instead. It is a bit odd really because I ordered a size 12 shirt and that was too small. I was delighted it all came in a heavy-duty paper bag and then disappointed to find everything inside wrapped in plastic - did we need it??

Perfect

Really lovely coat, only slight moan would be sizing. I'm normally 8/10 so tried the 8 and it is very roomy, would've liked to get it in a 6 but you don't go that small so made do with the 8. On the plus side I can get lots of layers underneath!

Lovely Coat!

Just arrived today and am delighted with this coat. I thought it was a bit expensive but with all the add ons- detachable lining, phone pocket etc it is certainly worth the extra money. I went for the Woodland green colour for a change from blues and reds which is very nice and not that dull sludgy green you see in most parka type coats. In coats and jackets I usually go for a size 16 as I have a broad back and like to layer up. However I had a feeling it would come up big and didn’t want to look swamped in it as it is a bit longer than I normally wear- I am 5 foot 4” so comes an inch or two above my knee. So I ordered the size 14 and it is perfect - still lots of room for sweaters cardigans etc. I am sure I will get a lot of wear out if this - if buying just consider dropping a size.

A great coat

Love that the inner lining is removable so that the coat has a more than one season life. Inner pocket very useful (car keys, credit cards, etc). Plus a great fit (I'm 5'8" so sometimes despair of finding coats where the waist isn't between my waist and t**s) and length. Have bought other jackets/coats from Seasalt because the quality is great and the fit good.

Superb all weather mac!

Just what I’ve been looking for - a truly all weather mac. Well made, weather proof and with a warm detachable lining. Love the madder red!

Great purchase

I’m 5’4” and a size 20. My coat fits beautifully with space to wear a jumper or fleece if the weather gets colder. As a wearer of glasses I find the peak on the hood keeps my lenses clear. The versatility of the cuffs is good too. Folded back when it’s dry down when it’s raining.
I’ve worn it during two recent downpours and have stayed dry as a bone.
The addition I would like to see is the reflective strips inside the cuffs that another of the designs has.

Huge!

Beautiful coat. But absolutely swamped me. I’m 5’2” usually a size 10. The size 8 was far too big in body (shoulders/waist etc) thought the length was ok. Had read reviews about arms being a bit tight - was not an issue for me. But sadly I had to return due to sizing issues.

Polperro 3 Season Coat

Very happy with my new coat, I love the Madder shade- it's such a good colour for the Autumn, and to follow through the seasons. In the past I have bought 3 different styles of coat in size 14 without any problem, but I had to exchange it for 2 sizes smaller as it was rather generous. I have worn it several times and haven't had to button in the fleece yet.-we await the cold wet weather!

Polperro 3 season coat

I love this coat! It's comfortable & cosy with the lining in - perfect for a recent trip to Scandinavia. The fit is good for me (5' 10" and size 10) and the hood is well designed with a small peak which helps to keep the rain off your face. I bought the woodland colour which is a beautiful dark green.

Delighted

Initially bought a size 14 as a few reviews had mentioned the tight fit particularly in the arms. Had to return for a size 12 as it absolutely swamped me. So glad I did though. Bought in Madder which is such a beautiful, rich colour. I can see me wearing this all through winter . Absolutely delighted with my purchase.

Disappointed

Far too heavy for me was my first thought. Tried on and body of coat very spacious BUT when my arms stretched forward eg as when driving, I found the upper front arms extremely restrictive so sadly had to send my two back for refund. My search continues for a cotton rain coat.

Pollperro 3 season coat

Great quality as usual, will go through all the seasons. I went down a size and it fits perfectly. All colours are great but I brought woodland, which is a great shade of green.

Polperro coat

I was looking for a possible replacement for my ventile jacket and as it was just right in green and didn't rustle, I had high hopes that it would be great to wear for wildlife photography, but on trying it on I found the sleeves were too tight and that was without wearing layers under it which I usually do to keep warm in winter. I even tried a 16 which was big enough in the body for layering up but the sleeves were way too tight. I was disappointed as I had high hopes for this coat as it had many pluses. Unfortunately, the width of the sleeves let it down.

Lovely Coat!

Just what I wanted. A nice unusual colour, lovely warm lining but easily removed for warmer days. Only problem was that it was so roomy that I ordered a top in a size smaller (10 instead of 12) and had to send it back as I couldn't even get it on!

Lovely coat!

Had been looking for a decent rain coat and came across this coat in Green in John Lewis but they didn't have the right size - I then ordered all 3 colours from Seasalt to compare.
I found it came up quite large - I am usually a size 10 but had to go for a size 8 to get the best fit. I love the fact the lining can be removed, and I like the drawstring at the waist to give a more fitted appearance. Feels like it will be very warm when the colder months come!
I am blonde and chose to keep the navy blue one, however all three colours were nice. Can't wait for some rain now to fully try it out!

Perfect coat

Love this coat, took it up for its maiden voyage to the Bavarian mountains and it was supremely comfortable in the cold rain. So snug with the inner lining. The colour of which Is a lovely surprise. Despite the sleeve length, a little short by a couple of inches.....which I find to be a common thing in british design. So I’m used to it. Great coat. Thank you guys. Love this brand. Keep the integrity of decent quality textiles.

Good waterproof longline jacket

As the inner lining has sleeves , it makes the armholes a bit snug. Without the lining it is a perfect garment.

Very bulky

Looks great online but it's much bulkier in reality. When I tried it on I was told I looked like a parcel! Sending it straight back

polperro 3 season coat

just had this delivered and it looks lovely but trying it on I was really disappointed that the sleeves weren't as long as I would have liked them to be and they were too tight at the top of my arms even with a thin shirt on.
The rest of the coat seemed roomy at the front but the back measurements were also a bit tight.
Have to send it back and keep looking for my perfect raincoat.

Well made!

This coat is beautiful. Well made and the red colour is very nice. After this long and hot summer, I'm looking forward to autumn and some rainy days! I think my new coat will get me through this easily and I will love it!

Waiting for winter

Love this, I’m out and about with my job in all weather so this looked the best coat for me, it came and I love it, I would say that I am only about 5 foot so it does come to my knees. I am looking forward to the cold weather to put the lining in. I know it’s a lot of money but it should last for years.

Fantastic

Loved this coat. Superior quality and very well made. Serviceable but stylish. The lining is easily removed and replaced. I did find the coat a little snug on the arms, removed the lining and much more comfortable. Coat war enough, for me, without lining.
