Our Plant Hunter Coat is a relaxed fit, parka-style coat ready to take on the elements! Made from gorgeously soft melange polyester, it falls to mid-thigh at the front and has a dipped, fishtail hem at the back with snap fastening vent. It has a handy two-way zip, snap fastening front pockets and and adjustable cuffs.

Ooooh how i love this coat!!!

I heard about Seasalt through Mumsnet, as I like to look at the items they recommend (by other mums) I have had my eye on this coat for a while as I loved the unusual pattern on it. I needed a new 'winter coat' for the school run and my current coat would leave my thighs soaking wet as the water would drip off the coat onto my thighs. (Also this particular coat wouldn't breathe either - so I would have moisture build up on the inside of the coat)
Not so with this beautiful coat. It obviously one of the longer length coats and covers me down to my knees. It is very much of the 'generous' fit (and did consider returning it for the size down - I have bought a size 22 and can wear coats varying in sizes from 18 to 22. I ordered this in a size 22 to fit over my winter woollies but a size 20 would have been a more true fit) However, I will be honest, I didn't return it as I couldn't part with it!!! I love this coat so much. The only other coat I have loved this much was a Boden coat.
So to recap - I have plenty of room under the coat for layers and winter woollies. If anyone is dithering, then ORDER NOW!!!!
Its not too heavy but I can tell its going to be warm in the colder months.
Guess i'm a seasalt shopper for life now!!

Lovely but a bit big

Lovely coat - very good quality - but just a bit on the large side all over. I ordered a 12 first, which was very large, so swapped for a 10 but still quite big all over and as I'm only 5'3" it swamped me. So I spoke to the nice woman at Seasalt customer services who recommended the Windward coat instead which is a much better proportion on me.
Also the Planthunter is a warmer coat, with the fur lining, and actually I was after a lighter-weight coat - so all in all the Windward was better for me but the Planthunter was still a lovely coat if you're a bit taller.

Love this coat

Just had this coat delivered and I was so nervous it would not live up to my expections because is pricey but no worries.
It is a beautiful subtle pattern and not silvery as I thought it might be. Perfect length for a 5ft 2", didn't make me feel weighed down or too muffled. It so soft and warm inside and adjustable in so many ways depending on what you put underneath.
I have only one complaint one reviewer said she got her coat delivered in a Sea Salt bag. Mine just came in polythene. Did I miss out?

Love this coat

This is a lovely lightweight and warm coat. It has a quilted lining for the lower half and a lovely fleecy long for the top and hood. I have the lino flower version.
On another note I’m so pleased to have the opportunity to shop at the new Seasalt shop at the Lexicon in Bracknell. Went a bit mad and bought loads. Had loads of compliments too about my new things.

Fabulous quality and design.

Received my well-packaged jacket from Seasalt today, just 3 days after online purchase. It is at least as good as I hoped it would be. The coat is substantial but not heavy, with the fleece lining of the top part and hood being a lovely quality. The zip feels strong and the additional popper fastenings on top with reduce and wind sneaking through. I bought the Coal colour, which is a beautiful very dark grey, not as stark as black, it's lovely. The coat is not cheap, but I think it is value for money.

Great find

The Plant Hunter coat is just as I expected and am very pleased with it. It is quite cosy for autumn but very lightweight with a lovely soft lining half quilted and half furry as shown. I have not yet tested it in heavy rain but has been a lovely and very comfortable coat to wear. I chose the Lino Flower Light Metal print which I love and looks exactly like the photos, and makes wearing a mac far more inviting. There are toggles to cinch in the waist however my only criticism is that II do find they don't 'lock' in place and so I have to keep readjusting them to shape the waist.

Very Happy with it

I am very happy to get it and Long Seafolly Jacket via online purchase then send to Australia. It's almost 95% same as photos on the website :)
I am 152cm and slim girl, this coat length is upon knees(front) and calf(back), and it still have space to wear a jumper inside, just perfect what I want. Moreover, suit for windy and wet weather in Melbourne.

Perfect winter coat

I bought this coat in the Lino pattern last winter and I wore it constantly throughout autumn and winter and am looking forward to wearing it again this year. It is light and comfortable as well as being waterproof, roomy and warm. If it was really cold then I can fit an extra jumper underneath with no bother. I live in a city where I don't want a full length fleece lining so it is a prefect temperature. The good of lovely and warm for extra help in a cold wind and rain. I have had tons of compliments and don't need a new one this season as my last year one looks as good as new.

Great coat

The patterned coat is light yet has a warm lining. The blue pattern on a grey background is attractive. I look forward to wearing this coat in the cooler weather.
Sleeves are a little long for me. I am petite so a 3rd popper on the sleeve would have been useful.
