Fully waterproof, windproof and breathable

Our Plant Hunter Coat is a relaxed-fitting, parka-style coat ready to take on the elements! Made from beautifully soft, cotton-rich tincloth fabric, it falls to mid-thigh at the front and has a dipped, fishtail hem at the back with snap fastening vent. The top half of the coat is lined with cosy fleece fabric, while the bottom half is quilted to keep the chill at bay throughout the winter. The cosy, fleece-lined hood has an adjustable drawcord, and it has a handy two-way zip, snap fastening front pockets and poppered cuffs so you can roll the sleeves up or down.

wonderful parka

Typical parka, pefectly suited for rough conditions. Pefectly true to size, as beautiful as on the picture, high quality, warm and very, very comfy to wear. And very fast delivery to Switzerland. SEASALT Cornwall is highly addictive for all the best reasons. I am very happy with everything I bought so far.

Just what I needed

Have had my raincoat for a good few years, thought I deserved a new one. Fits the bill exactly + a lovely large warm hood.

Amazing coat

I absolutely love this coat. I wholeheartedly agree with all the previous reviews. I opted for a size smaller than I would normally and it fits great. It is lightweight, warm and most importantly keeps me dry and of course it is stylish and so well made.

Great coat

After looking at a fair few winter raincoats, decided on the Plant Hunter coat, and I have not been disappointed, took notice of the other reviews that said it came up on the large size, got a 16 instead of my usual 18, and it fits perfectly, , lovely and warm and snuggly without overheating me and has been totally waterproof and wind proof, ideal for the heavy rain and drizzle we get in North Devon.

DELIGHTED

Delighted with this. Tested it on the hills on an absolutely foul day with wind and horizontal rain (the Scottish variety) and it came out ten out of ten. I enjoyed the walk!

AT LAST!

I got a bit disheartened about Seasalt raincoats’ fit on me in the past. Narrow sleeves so I always had to size up to get them to fit over jumpers and over my admittedly pear-shaped bottom. Finally spotted the Plant Hunter in petite and tried it. What a revelation! The style has roomier sleeves anyway, I think and the reason the fit over my hips was so awkward in the past - at 5’2” I was trying to get the coat’s waist to fit over my hips. Finally, the petite has an adjustable waist that sits ON my waist, instead of awkwardly over my lower back and the whole thing just fits better. It only came in dark grey, but that was my choice (or black) to go with everything anyway.
It is warm, with cosy fleece lining to back & hood, in a rich cream to cheer up the grey. It’s also bulk free, wind-proof & waterproof (obviously!) Understated but with smart detailing poppers at cuffs, front, pockets and at back hem. The dipped hem is flattering and thank you Seasalt that it has a double zip, so I can choose a decent fit over my top half and leave the zip open a bit at the bottom.
The only snag for me is I must have long arms for my ht, or have got used to the warmth of sleeves that cover my upper hands. These stop at the wrist and let a draft in, so wrist warmers called for on really bad days.
Still, the present weather has been so foul that this coat doesn’t even go in the cupboard, while my “posh“ coats hang untouched. All the winter coat you’ll need! Love it!!

Plant Hunter Coat

Very comfortable, and a sensible length, with good pockets and cosy hood. It's very warm and wind-proof and the colour is perfect.

Just what I needed

I love this coat! Not too heavy to wear but really warm and cosy - and waterproof. Recovering from a broken shoulder, I can’t manage a brolly and a bag, so a hooded coat like this is just the job. The colour (oak) was rather more green than a mustard colour I had expected (ordering online the colour on screen can be misleading) but I love it all the same. A friend bought the coat in grey and is equally pleased.

Amazing Shipping

I love seasalt jackets and needed a new winter coat. I live in South Korea and it took 4 days for my new jacket to arrive (ordered monday and it came friday). I am super impressed not only with the jacket but also international delivery time!
