Dear Ary,
Thanks for your review of the Pursuit Trainer; sorry these haven’t been comfy from the offset. As these are canvas upper and leather lining, rest assured these would ‘give’ over time and hopefully you’ll be left with a practical, comfy shoe.

Funky, light and lovely!

I ordered these shoes with some trepidation as I normally need a wide fit and I have found Seasalt shoes to be on the narrow side. even when supposedly wide. I usually wear a 4.5 but ordered a 5. I took the inner sole out and wore them around the house yesterday afternoon. Today I put the sole back in and they are fine and very comfortable indeed! I am so pleased as I got them for half price1 They will be great when I am in Florida over Christmas with my grandchildren. Thank you Seasalt.

Now - can you please do something about your 'wide fitting' boots which are far too narrow around the ankles and calves for some of us older ladies who also want to look fashionable? I would be even happier if you could tackle that!

Too Tight

I loved these pursuit trainers, but they were too tight, I normally wear a size 6 but ordered a 7, after reading reviews,

I have both the red and now the blue pairs. Practical and as with all my Seasalt purchases a joy to wear. Thank you Seasalt.

Something different

i loved the look of theses shows the first time that i saw them but I nearly didn't order them once I'd read the reviews saying that they are narrow as I have have quite wide feet (sometimes but not always going for a 'wide' fit other ranges) But I thought they were so nice looking and a that bit different that I thought I'd give them a try

I was really pleased to find that they didn't feel tight on me width wise at all. I felt that they are very slightly short fitting - I take a UK 6 normally but I know that a 7 would be too big and it certainly won't stop me wearing them. I'd suggest if you are a 6 to 6.5 to order the 7

I've marked them down slightly due to the price, they are very good quality but I thought that £70 is quite a lot of money for canvas shoes.

Other than that I love them!

Keeping, but with reservations

These are lovely looking trainers. My only reservation/regret is that as another reviewer says, they are very narrow at the front where the toes are. I have quite narrow feet but even I found them uncomfortably close fitting (tight?) around the toes. I decided to keep them and they seem to be stretching with wear but I don't think I should have to break in a pair of trainers! Shoe designers need to look at the shape of the natural foot. So many styles uncomfortably narrow at the front, even for those of us who have never needed a wide fit shoe.

I'm always a 37 in seasalt shoes, (although sometimes a 38 with other brands) also I have quite narrow feet.. I was looking to replace my 'kitto' trainers from last year, which outwardly look very similar. The 37 fit most of my foot, but was excruciating tight across my toes. The 38 was sloppy on my foot, yet still tight over my toes. Such a shame. Other than that a really comfy insole & nice stying. .so I strongly recommend going up a size and hopefully have better luck than I!!

Not for the narrow footed!!

I had to buy a 42 rather than my usual 41 as those were too short for me.

Despite wearing socks and 2 extra inner soles and tightening the laces as much as I can I am sliding from side to side in the shoe when actually walking. They were fine on the carpet at home so this particularly annoying. Definitely won't be buying Seasalt shoes again unless you take pity on the large number of people like me who are neglected by shoe manufacturers. Even a couple of narrow styles a season would be great!!

Navy pumps.

These are lovely pumps with a high back over heel. They are comfy but may need to be worn in at home before a long trek. They may pinch or rub just over heel at top as they are high. Lovely pumps thank you.
