For every collection our print designer, Sophie Chadwick, creates an array of beautiful hand-drawn prints, all inspired by Cornwall. Each print is unique to us, you won't find them anywhere else.
This month you’ll find some very special print designs inspired by the adventurers who risked their lives, sailing across stormy seas, to bring beautiful flowers back to the sub-tropical valley gardens of Cornwall.
This pretty print features line drawings of camellias by artist, and Sophie's mum, Kaye Treloar. Thanks to 19th century plant hunters like Ernest Wilson and George Forrest there’s now an abundance of these wonderful flowers in our Cornish gardens.
Sophie arranged these fanned forms, based on seaweed, to create a decorative and really pretty, easy to wear print.
Our print designer, Kathryn Fowler, was watching the famously greedy Falmouth seagulls circling in the sky then swooping down for a quick snack!
This entwined wave pattern was created by Sophie Chadwick, inspired by the enormous crashing waves that batter the wild and rugged north Cornwall coast.
Sophie sketched crabber boats from her studio overlooking Falmouth Bay for our Washed Boats print.
Kathryn created Rope Whirl based on the coils of rope dotted around Cornish harbours.
