Fully waterproof, windproof and breathable

Our Long Seafolly Coat is inspired by traditional fishermen's macs and is crafted from our famous Tin Cloth® with classic nautical styling. This mid-thigh length raincoat has taped seams, deep pockets, a generous hood and toggle and rope fastenings. Keeping up the maritime theme, it features a Seasalt Breton stripe lining in soft cotton jersey. Our Tin Cloth® is made from hardwearing organic cotton canvas with a hi-tech waterproofing treatment. We’ve improved the fabric this season, giving it a softer feel so it’s even easier to wear, and introduced a fresh new colourway.

Everything I've Ever Wanted and More!

I had been pining away for a fisherman's mac for as long as I can remember but I was never able to find exactly what I was looking for. Then behold, I discovered Seasalt last year along with the Long Sea Folly Jacket! A gorgeous jacket that was stylish, comfortable, waterproof, windproof, breathable, and made of organic cotton - oh be still my beating heart!! :) It had a functional hood that didn't overly dwarf my tiny head and the length was exactly what I wanted too! Sadly, when I saw it wasn't available in a navy option, which is the colour I desperately wanted, I was heartbroken but determined to find one from a past season as I knew it had to be out there somewhere. After a bit of hunting, I found the Squid Ink colour (THE perfect shade of navy in my opinion) with another online retailer who had one last jacket in my size and on sale. It was meant to be! If it isn't obvious from this review, I am over the moon and so excited about this jacket and I can't wait to wear it for years to come until it's down to its last threads. In terms of sizing, I am just under 5'4 and between a size 12 and 14 with Seasalt and found the 14 to be just right. Not too big, not too small. I think the 12 would have been much too snug and uncomfortable with a jumper on, so I'm glad the measurements were true to size. Now that I finally have one in my perfect navy colour, I'd love to have one in Redcurrant and Jewel as well as the colours are also lovely. Plus, I'd love a jacket to salute me with an "Ahoy there!", which is missing from the one I have. I just hope someone will return my size so I can snatch it up in the sale. Thank you Seasalt for my very happy ending!

Gorgeous Jacket

Absolutely adore my new Seafolly jacket and what an amazing price in the sale - it is well worth the original price tag too . Beautifully made and in the most stunning colour , Jewel , a beautiful emerald green . I know my jacket will be worn over and over again and I can tell it will last for years . Just to say I went up a size because It is more comfortable with jumpers and gilets underneath . Thank you Seasalt xxx

Size 8 fit true to size for me

My main worry was that the coat wouldn't fit, but since it's arrived I'm happy to report it fits true to size for me! I'm in the US, and wear US 2 or 4 depending on the brand, and I wanted a light coat for the spring, so not too oversized. I'm 5'6", with a 36B chest, and weigh 116 pounds, and the coat fit perfectly across the shoulders with a light sweater underneath and is quite cute. I agree that the pocket lining seems quite delicate so I won't put anything in the pockets and the other thing I would change is cut the shoulders a bit wider with a little more structure. Overall the coat was worth the price and cute. I'm very excited for the next rain!

Perfect over Seasalt tunics

Yay! Wanted a Seafolly coat for ages now but was unsure what length. After trying on all 3 lengths, the long one fits perfectly over my Seasalt tunics. I am 5'4" and a size 14. So pleased with the fit and detailing, another Seasalt triumph.

Good if it’s not raining

This coat looks beautiful and I got my parents to bring one over to New Zealand for me. It’s basically a terribly designed coat if your going to be out in the rain and I got mine for walking the dog which from time to time does involve sustained rain

The hood is far too small by about 2 inches and Ill fitted. Also the sleeves are about an inch too short. Also the back of the jacket seems to be very tight across the shoulders. I took a size 10 and I’m a size 8 usually. Maybe a size 12 is needed?

If you want a coat that looks good for a brief drizzle then I’m sure this works well but I feel that sea salt didn’t market this coat in that way and it’s £120. The search for a good coat to walk the dog goes on....

I hate thick coats so gave this a try, perfect length , lovely colour , the hood stays up and I can actually see at the same time. Always a plus. I did go up a size as my usual was snug on the bust. Plus I bought in the sale so great price, winner winner.

Really really disappointed customer

I ordered a longer Seafolly to replace my old short Seafolly however the jacket arrived extremely creased and unwearable. After contacting Customer services whose response was to iron it using a continuous steam iron which I don’t have or leave it in the shower room which I have done for several days but the creases haven’t moved. I have again contact customer service only to be told either I can send it back or wear it and hope the creases fall out!
My old jacket was bought online and was never creased as this one is and why when every store would have a steamer to steam out their stock has this option not been offered? Very poor customer service, What has happened to the old Seasalt who seemed to value the customer?

Love love love the seafolly jackets

Got the red currant jacket in the sale and just love it. I already had the regular length from a few years ago in a lime colour. The quality and colour are just fantastic and one of the few true waterproof jackets out there. Looks good to boot. Can’t recommend them enough and I always get questions about my jacket from friends.

I own this coat in ‘marine’ which is a lovely blue but also the same colour worn by Paddington Bear! I decided to order ‘jewel’ in a size 8 as my blue one in size 10 is massive on me. (I’m not a size 10 so that’s why). This is perfect, much neater fit, still roomy and a lovely colour. I do think it’s a summer weight and style, being light and with a Breton lining, but that’s fine. I will be wearing this on spring and summer rainy days. Great price in the sale. Wish I lived in Cornwall to get away with wearing this all year round.
