Sizing problem

I just got this sweater this morning and wore it with a dark denim skirt and it’s a lovely color. I also love the texture, beautiful yarn, and how it’s just exactly the right warmth for a winter day. I took a walk and enjoyed vey much how comfortable I was. This said, I’m an 18, and not all of us 18 are small and large. Some of us are tall with a larger bust. And this sweater on a bigger size is designed for a shorter person, not tallish and strong like I am. I miss ten centimeters at least for it to look like the one on the model. It a nice, short sweater. I have the same problem with all my sea salt sweaters. I would love to have a longer, prettier, warmer one, just once!

Never looked new!

The title is a double edged sword. It’s always comfortable to wear something that starts off as a friend.
I have had this friend for a year now (in classic blue) and it looks as though I’ve had it for twenty. It bobbles, and bobbles, and bobbles. Never mind what device you use to remove the bobbles they come back within minutes of being worn. And they make it look tatty....too tatty to go out in except for dog walking.
It’s so’s a really lovely sweater otherwise, warm, comforting, comfortable ( not at all scratchy), and as I said at the top, a best friend. But not one I can share with others. And it has many SeaSalt cousins in my wardrobe ( I’m a bit of a fan) and they all have to undergo the same excruciating de-pilling procedure every time they come out to be worn.
It’s not really fair.
I’m on the website now tempted by this years same model in the red colour. I really want to buy it.....and I would be prepared to part with the £75 if it could stay looking casually smart... or at least worth £75 so my husband doesn’t cringe too much...... but I just know it won’t. So, get thee behind me ..bobbles.!
SeaSalt...a heartfelt plea from me, and doubtless thousands of your loyal fans.....please, please, please, get to grips with your massive bobbling issue .....sadly it’s far worse than most of the other ( admittedly not of the Cornish stamp) sweaters available in that price bracket. Owning a de bobbles/piller ( I have three assorted varieties) is not the answer you can trot out. It begins with the stuff you spin with.

Dear Avitsen,
Thanks for your review of the Tutwork Jumper; Rest assured that we always use the best quality yarn available, in order to achieve a beautifully soft garment. Listening to our customer feedback from last season, we’ve worked closely with our yarn spinner to increase the twist on the yarn. This should help to reduce the bobbling, however we have to be cautious – the tighter the yarn is twisted, the less beautifully soft the garment will feel.
We do have a very robust feedback system in place, so I’ll feed your comments about the issues raised to the relevant team for their future consideration.
Best wishes, Seasalt

a warm hug

Chunky and warm, but soft and light. Super comfortable. Teams well with Trailboard trousers. I like the slightly slouchy style and find my usual size just right. I also like the subtle flecks which enliven the colour.

Pity about the fleck

I'd have bought this if only it didn't have that fleck in the wool. For some reason, flecked wook makes me think of porridge.

Cosy and lovely shade of red

I'd looked at this online, but when I saw the real thing, I couldn't resist. It feels lovely and soft and it's just a great colour for this time of year. Love all the cabling and textured stitches. A bit oversized so maybe go down a size if you're in between sizes. Neck is large and quite a deep roll but that's perfect for me and will be nice and warm.

Cosy and lovely

Love love love this jumper. I sized down for a less relaxed fit and I’m super happy with it! Gorgeous festive color and no synthetic fibers- what’s not to love!

beautiful colour

Really pleased when this jumper arrived. It looked lovely and was a gorgeous rusty red colour. However it was enormous and I'd already sized down from a 14 to a 10. Sadly I had to return it.

Snuggly and gorgeous!

I already have the navy jumper like this from a couple of years ago and know how warm and cosy it is, so was delighted to see it in such a beautiful shade of red and obviously had to buy it! Perfect size and style, love it even more than the first one!

Feeling Festive

Last year I purchased this in Navy and it was my favourite winter woolly especially when the Beast from the East struck , So happy when by chance I was browsing and discovered this Fab Seasonal colour . Certainly grabbed it while they’re around as I’m sure they will be gone in no time . Lovely colour and quality... I’m feeling positively festive and it’s only November.
