96% Cotton (organic), 4% Elastane

A soft and breathable organic cotton maternity top, with just a touch of stretch for a comfy fit. Waist gathers from the side seam create space for a growing bump and make this a staple for pregnancy and beyond. Finished with long sleeves and a flattering scoop neck, it comes in a choice of gorgeous Cornish colours or an original Seasalt print.

Our new maternity collection is made to be loved, lived in and last, making you feel stylish and comfortable, with loads of life for more than one pregnancy, or to pass on to friends.

We love organic cotton, because it’s grown without harmful fertilisers and pesticides, protecting wildlife, soil quality and the workers who grow and process the cotton.

Yay for Sea Salt Maternity!

I don't know why my sister-in-law was looking at Sea Salt just when she was, but when I heard "Sea Salt" and "Maternity" in the same sentence all my sensors immediately turned around to listen. It seems as though someone on the SS team discovered how difficult it can be to find good maternity clothing these days, and was in the perfect position to do something about it!
The basic maternity shirts don't fit quite as well as some others I've bought, at least not for only halfway through pregnancy (currently 21 weeks). The others I've bought seem to have a higher percentage of elastane or other stretchy fibres in the fabric, so that they can be cut with less fabric but still stretch over a 9-month bump. Nonetheless, the fabric feels lovely against the skin and the shirts come in pretty Sea Salt colours. I might update in about three months to say how the shirt fits near the end of my pregnancy, if I remember - though I tend to run small on bump size. Especially compared to my mother-in-law, who packed in the amniotic fluid and was always getting asked if she was carrying twins (when she's never been overweight in her life).
