Disappointed in the colours

This had the potential to be a great jumper but I found the colours to be rather drab and flat in real life., not at all like the on-line colours. which seemed quite bright.
The fit was good and the two colours a good idea but sadly it went back.

Looks great, wears terribly

I love this jumper. At least, I did when I first tried it on. However after ipone evening (four hours) of sitting around at home, it has pilled and bobbled so badly, it already looks scruffy and worn-out. I don't buy Seasalt's explanation that the pilling is due to the high quality of fibres. I accept there will be some pilling, after all it's what wool does, but its 20% nylon content should ensure greater durability than wool alone. I will be surprised if this jumper lasts the winter. After the continual de-pilling it will require, I fully expect it to be bald by March! It is simply not fit for purpose, especially at £75!! Thankfully, I did not pay that much, but I still find it completely unacceptable to be expected to de-fluff a jumper every time it has been even lightly worn. I own at least, five Seasalt wool sweaters and they all bobble, but this one is in a league of its own.

Attractive jumper - reservations about wool

I love the look of this jumper. It fits nicely and the colour contrast attractive and as shown. Mine has pilled very badly and after every wearing needs de-pilling. I hand washed it very carefully and was surprised by the amount of wool fibres that came loose. Feel quality of wool not up to the usual Seasalt standard.

Dear Helen
Thanks for your review of the Durole Jumper. The ‘pilling’ or bobbles that you are experiencing are a natural occurrence but particularly so in better quality yarns. This happens because, as the yarn is knitted into a garment and the garment is worn, over time the ‘fluff’ gets tangled as it is rubbed. This results in little balls of fluff – the ‘pilling’. The most common area affected are the underarms and sides of body but, equally, it can happen on the main body if, say, a seatbelt rubs.
The bobbles that appear are easily picked off, either by hand or with a ‘bobble’ remover but they are far easier to remove from a garment containing quality yarn as opposed to a cheaper yarn mix item. Whilst it initially can be a nuisance, as the yarn Seasalt use is of a very high quality, the ‘pilling’ will decrease with wear and you will be left with just a beautifully soft ‘favourite Durole Jumper.
Best wishes, Seasalt

Comfortable but...

Unusual colour ad fleck means it will with a variety of tops. Subtle cable design. My reservation is that although I had only worn it for an hour, pilled really badly where sleeves were against the body. Not just bobbles but 1 to 2 cm long. I am hoping it is not a fault within the wool.

Good Quality, Lightweight but Warm

I am very pleased with this jumper as it is very comfortable to wear. It's not a big heavy jumper but still warm and cosy.
I would call my self size 12/14 and ordered the 14 which is a good fit although the sleeves are slightly too long and loose at the cuff but not so much as to be annoying.
I bought it with 20% off but full price is too much so loses one anchor.

Nice, muted reds

I bought this jumper at full price and now wish I'd waited for it to be reduced, because I think it was overpriced. I'd wanted a cable-knit but expected this jumper to be a bit chunkier, with a thicker yarn or closer knit.

The muted reds are very nice on and will go well with lots of my jumpers and skirts, especially with warm browns and my Sweet Stem skirt. I like the colour-block and the cable knit to the front is interesting and intricate. Less sure about the fleck, but at least that doesn't stand out by being too contrasty, which was what put me off the Tutwork jumper.
