Perfect

I was so pleased to see this coat in the sale as I'd long admired it but couldn't justify it at full price.
It arrived today , lovely colour red , gorgeous lining and good sleeve length for me at 5'9".
Unfortunately it was to big , just made me look square shaped ,even though I fit 14 dresses from you perfectly .
I'm sooo disappointed as I've a feeling 12 will be sold out by the time you refund me .
I hope not as I plan to reorder it.

A Lovely Coat

I too am very glad I bought this coat and it is a true bargain in the sale. I went for Fathom as I'm not a red person and it is a gorgeous dark blue/grey. Before ordering I looked at the reviews - a mixed bunch but I was attracted by the 'Petite' size option and it's a perfect fit. A size 10 is adequate to wear a jumper under in colder weather and the relaxed styling suits me perfectly although it could be dressed up with scarves etc. for more formal occasions. The lining is lovely and I don't understand the comments made by some reviewers that the coat doesn't slide off easily over jumpers. It did arrive a little creased but I followed the advice from another reviewer and a warm iron sorted that out. I think it is expensive full price but a well made garment. If you are petite - try it - I rarely find coats or jackets that are as good a fit as this!

Shame about the lining

Such a lovely coat to look at but I found it very wide on the shoulders, The lining, a beautiful material, is not suitable for the purpose as it does not allow the boiled wool top layer to drop back in position and leaves it rucked up and twisted.

Charcoal burner coat

Sadly this coat pills quite badly which is disappointing given the price. As the same thing has happened to the sweater I bought from you at the same time I shall avoid your wool products. Rey disappointing.

Hi Bex
Thank you for your review and we're so sorry that you're not completely satisfied with your Seasalt Coat.
Of course, in line with our 'no quibble' refund policy, we'd be happy to offer you a full refund if you'd like. Just pop it back to us using the Freepost label in your parcel.
Bobbling and pilling is a natural occurrence in yarns. As the garment is worn, over time, the yarn gets tangled as it is rubbed. This results in little balls of fluff.
To remove the bobbles we'd recommend using a de-bobbler occasionally. Once you've removed the bobbles a few times, you should find that the bobbling decreases with wear.
As always our Customer Service team would be delighted to help, just call on 01326 640075 or pop onto a chat at www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk
Best wishes

Love this coat but big problems with lining

I was so pleased with the Charcoal Burner Coat in fathom when I bought it and it is warm and cosy. However, after persevering and hoping that things would settle down I have concluded that I can’t wear the coat.
The wool is stretchy and this is at odds with the rigid poplin lining. As a result it pulls and I end up with a kind of bustle at the back and am constantly having to ask my daughter/husband to yank the coat to get the two parts in line. Sooo disappointed as I love it but really can’t wear it. Help ......

frustrating

I can see that most people love this coat.. I normally enjoy Seasalt purchases but this coat is driving me mad! my husband gave it to me for Christmas so its a bit awkward .....and initially I expected to LOVE wearing it but then I could see the the neck seemed too big and the hem was gathered up by the lining material so I took it for a minor alteration which seemed to fix the neckline issue... but the fabric and lining have never worked, it seems as though either the fabric is too stretchy or the lining too small I don't know... I can't wear it as it looks really unwieldy and bunchy around the hemline somehow... I think it must be a one off issue. and now I've had it altered and tried to fix the lining problem with no success so can't return the item... See what I mean? Frustrated.

Lovely but tight on arms

Love the colour and style of this coat, but tried it on with the sort of jumper I wear at this time of year and it was pulling a bit and just didn't sit right so have had to return it. Real shame!!! I ordered a 12 as they normally fit me in Seasalt sizes, but perhaps a 14 would have been best.

Lovely coat, gorgeous colour

I had to exchange this coat as the size I ordered was too big. The replacement was the right size but the shoulders and neckline did not sit properly so I had to return it.
I was very disappointed as I had been looking for a boiled wool coat for some time and I loved the colour. Seasalt were very prompt with exchanges and refunds.. great service

The Perfect Coat

I have previously bought boiled wool jackets from Seasalt and loved them. I tried the dark blue version on in the shop and just had to buy it. I am 5'8" and usually a size 14 but I actually felt the size 12 fitted better. The lining is a beautiful dark blue floral pattern (and unlike some other reviewers, I found it slides on and off my jumpers very easily). The big deep pockets are perfect for mobile phones etc. It's a seriously comfortable coat that looks smart with dresses, skirts and jeans and the lack of collar works really well with scarves. Just love it and am wearing it all the time.
