Fully waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Our Plant Hunter Coat is a relaxed-fitting, parka-style coat ready to take on the elements. Made from our innovative, beautifully soft, cotton-rich Tin Cloth® fabric, it falls to mid-thigh at the front and has a dipped, fishtail hem at the back with snap fastening vent. The top half of the coat is lined with cosy fleece fabric, while the bottom half is quilted to keep the chill at bay throughout the winter. The cosy, fleece-lined hood has an adjustable drawcord, and it has a handy two-way zip, snap fastening front pockets and poppered cuffs so you can roll the sleeves up or down. It also has an internal waist drawcord.

Cosy coat for winter walking

Love the look and feel of this coat, my daughter chose this as her Christmas present so fingers crossed for a good fit and hours of happy, cosy, dry as you can be dog walking.

Fantastic - I rarely leave home without it!

This coat was an investment for me - I wouldn't normally pay £150 for a parka - but given how much time I am having to spend outdoors these days it is totally worth it. I have gone for long walks in some absolutely dreadful weather, torrential rain, howling winds, and stayed dry in this. The chocolate colour is very nice and looks almost auberginey in some lights. I love that it's not heavy or bulky. Worth mentioning that it is really long, and I say that as someone who's 5'10! Even on me, the sleeves are down on my hands. Things that could be slightly improved: side access to the pockets to keep hands warm, better positioning of waist cord on RH side which interferes with the zip, and a slightly bigger and 'taller' hood.

overall great winter coat

I was on the hunt for a waterproof, windproof coat that had good coverage but also allowed movement for brisk winter walks. I stumbled across SEASALT and appreciated that they had sustainability top-of-mind. Got me the Plant Hunter coat in Bitter Cocoa which is a beautiful shade of brown. I love that you can tie in at the waist a bit more and its length is perfect for me. It fits a tad bit bigger on the top for my shape, but a winter sweater and scarf fills that nicely. The only thing missing for me? Fleece-lined pockets, cause the fabric is thinner there and doesn't really provide any insulation.

Great Coat ,

Ordering clothes online always brings me out in a fluster....what is the cut like, are they true to sizes ...am I going to end up with something that doesn’t hang right or fit properly. Well, I have been looking for a new rainproof long coat for some time and was drawn to this one. After lots of humming and haaing , what persuaded me to buy the coat was Seasalt sizing guide recommendation. You didn’t let me down; I am the happy owner of a lovely coat. Had just one panic when I first tried it on, the fit felt snugger around the middle than I had expected. It was a doh moment, the centre cord had been pulled in tighter ,( no waspish waist here). Anyway once slightly loosened I now have a great coat that fits well. Looking forward to looking stylish whilst keeping warm and dry when I walk the dogs .

Perfect

This takes the nip right out of The North Sea winds and rain. The fishtail back is great for when you have to take a rest on a somewhat soggy bench.

Thrilled with my new coat

I was nervous about ordering the Bitter Cocoa colour as I didn't want another burgundy coat. I was also nervous about the sizing as reviews suggested it was a little large, and my size guide suggested a size smaller than normal. I needn't have worried as the colour and size are perfect. I wore it in torrential rain two days after receiving it, and the water just ran off. It is watertight, warm and well worth the price.

Plant hunter coat

Really pleased with the fit and warmth of this coat and love the subtle design on the fabric. Bought size 10(normally a 12 in coats)as had read the sizing was generous. It is perfect fit for me with plenty of room for thick jumper. Very warm and totally waterproof in spite of two hour dog walks in persistent rain.

Mid season

I was looking for a lighter coat for walking in the winter, as my winter coat gets too hot. This is perfect! Cosy, lightweight Nd very classy looking. Only down side is that it’s noisy! Squeaks when you move!

I love this coat. It looks good, even on an old lady, and it fits perfectly over warm clothes.
