A beautifully made, warm wool blend coat that’s perfect for autumn. The fabric has been specially woven for us, blending sophisticated shades of colour for textural interest. The simple, clean lines, slightly curved collar and front shaping seams create a flattering, feminine silhouette. We’ve lined the body in cotton poplin with a unique Seasalt print, while the sleeves are lined in polyester, so you can slip it on and off easily. Two side entry pockets add the finishing touch.

Beautiful Coat!

I'm so pleased with this coat. It's stylish, cosy and comfortable and the material and colours are lovely. I bought my usual size 12 and can easily wear a jumper or cardigan underneath. It's very flattering, goes equally well with jeans or a skirt/dress and can be matched with a range of colours. As some other customers have mentioned, the coat does arrive creased if you're ordering online. I simply placed the garment on my ironing board and held my steam iron very close without actually touching the coat, using the steam booster button where required. Perfect result! I'd definitely recommend this coat!

Beautiful Coat

Lovely coat. I get cold easily so this coat is fine for me with temps down to 5 Celsius. I can move easily in the coat and it is not heavy. The outer fabric is scratchy, but it doesn't contact any skin. The lining is very pretty. I bought the Guilvenic Rye in my usual size 10 regular and the fit is perfect. The color is rust with flecks of grey. I can easily wear it with a blouse or jumper underneath and it still fits and looks fine. I am 175 cm tall and weigh 59kg. I do not have long arms. Seasalt- please make this same coat longer to hit just below the knee or at a midi length so it would look nice with skirts and dresses.

Fab coat

I love this coat, which I bought in Guilvenic Rye. The photos on the web page don't do justice to the fabric, which is really rich in colour, with reds and blues. As a few other reviewers have said, the coat is in a loose-fitting stlye. I bought it in my usual size, but while I could have gone down a size, I like the loose style (the photos are accurate I'd say) and it does leave room for a thick cardi underneath. Although the coat is not super-heavy, I wore it out on a cold day yesterday with only a jersey top underneath and I was quite warm enough.
I bought the coat in a Tall size. I'm so happy Seasalt are making tall sizes now. Its great to be able to buy a gorgeous coat that fits so well on the arms and across the shoulders - if you're tall, coats can be a nightmare.

Fantastic

I’m really happy with this coat. The fit is perfect, the style timeless. I really love the colour, I went for the Rye and the weave of the material is beautiful. What more can I say eleven out of ten!

Gorgeous country coat

Gorgeous coat once I had managed to get the creases out. I love the way Seasalt package sustainably, but it does have drawbacks, and the 2 coats I ordered arrived in a screwed up pile at the bottom of the bag. Maybe this is something needs some attention please. I hung coats but creases didn't drop out. Tried hanging in the airing cupboard hoping the warmth would help but it made little difference. In despair, because I really wanted to keep the coat that fitted me, I rang customer services and they suggested steaming. So, with baited breath, I switched on the iron, hung the coat on hanger, and brought iron fairly close to coat without touching and pressed away at the continuous steam! It worked!!! I wore the coat first time Sunday and thankful to say, in spite of an hour or more driving, I didn't arrive all creased up. So yes, delighted, maybe will update review when I know how it wears.

Lovely coat

I have difficulty finding a classic coat that won't date with passing seasons and is short enough even though I am a large size. This is perfect.

Investment

I wanted a coat that would last me a few years and this coat just jumped out at me. Love the boiled wool fabric and the cotton lining. I ordered a size up so as to be a loose fit. so that I can add layers without feeling restricted and bulky
The multiple colours in the weave give lots of options to add pops of colour with accessories etc. The coat is very light which is important to me as due to an injury my back can’t weight bear

Perfect Proportions

So pleased, an excellent fit in my normal size 14 P. I ordered a size 16P as I thought I may need it for thicker underclothes but was reordering when the new discount code started so bought it at a lower price, so win all around. Thank you, it is lovely to, again, own a quality tweed coat as it has been padded coats and raincoats for the last few years. Also it was the green shade which goes with so many of Seasalt other items too.

Gorgeous coat

Lovely coat - the colours in the blue/ green weave are ultra pretty. It's vintage looking and I know I am going to wear it a lot. I wouldn't say it will do for the harshest winter days - it's a loose weave so not really warm and wind proof but for Autumn and Spring days it is ideal! On the large side, but I Iike that - it depends on how you want it to look.

Lovely coat

I couldn’t find a down filled coat I liked so decided to buy a rain coat and a more traditional coat instead. Have been looming at this coat for ages so when browsing in the sale it had a good reduction. I really wanted the blue one but didn’t have my size so went for the green which looks really lovely and forced me to not play safe.. I was able to go down a size as it is a stretchy material and a good cut. I’m 5’4 and it sits just below my knee a perfect length for me. I love the style with the single row of buttons, rounder collar and being fitted around the bust and wait then flaring out a bit... this is a really lovely traditional coat which looks good over jeans or dresses and nice enough to wear going out. The green colour gives it a vintage style a bit 1940’s look. Not sure it would be warm enough on a freezing winters day as quite light weight but comfortable and can layer up underneath it. Might get the blue if it comes back into stock.
