Fully waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Our Plant Hunter Coat is a relaxed-fitting, parka-style coat ready to take on the elements. Made from our innovative, beautifully soft, cotton-rich Tin Cloth® fabric, it falls to mid-thigh at the front and has a dipped, fishtail hem at the back with snap fastening vent. The top half of the coat is lined with cosy fleece fabric, while the bottom half is quilted to keep the chill at bay throughout the winter. The cosy, fleece-lined hood has an adjustable drawcord, and it has a handy two-way zip, snap fastening front pockets and poppered cuffs so you can roll the sleeves up or down. It also has an internal waist drawcord.

TIN CLOTH®
Inspired by traditional oilskins, our unique Tin Cloth® coats and jackets are crafted from hard wearing natural fabrics finished with our high-performance waterproofing treatment. The result is a waterproof, windproof and breathable jacket with a soft yet durable finish.

Plant Hunter Coat

Received today and absolutely delighted with style and finish. Drawn Leaves Raven is a beautiful, quiet, subtle colour. Thanks Seasalt for the service and the quality of this coat.

Very pleased

I am very happy with my new raincoat. It fulfils all its claims. I particularly like the colour as it is a shade of my favourite turquoise, it makes such a change to have a bright colour in Winter. The only thing I would have preferred is if it had come in a petite fit as the sleeves are very long. My granddaughter helpfully pointed out that my hands would be warmer if I let the sleeves cover them especially if I was wearing gloves and she is absolutely right. Thank you Seasalt.

Beautiful coat

I recently bought a Janelle coat - which is amazing but very long on me - and decided to buy the Plant Hunter to have a shorter coat. It's beautiful, very well made but I didn't like the colour so I did return it.
The only thing I'd change would be the hood. In my opinion all hoods should have a peak..
For reference I'm 5'3" / 105lb. The Plant Hunter size 6 petite fitted perfectly.

Everything I hoped it would be

After much investigation and reading of reviews, I purchased this coat. It has not disappointed. It has gone beyond all my expectations. Completely waterproof, warm, very stylish, perfect for long dog walks.

A timeless mi-season coat .

My new plant hunter coat is already providing to be a most useful purchase . It is warm and protective without feeling bulky and it’s length keeps thighs and knees dry and warm in the wind and rain that are the norm here , this time of the year . On a very cold day l put on a long waistcoat to be extra cozy . I have worn it on long walks , with rucksack but l would also feel happy to wear it in town or shopping , as it is smart enough . I love the openable tail and double zip which make striding and going over stiles very easy . The sleeves detailing is great too : you can open the last popper/s to cover your gloved hands in the rain . A good all rounder !

Lovely coat

My daughter had this coat and recommended it. We both live in Hebden Bridge, a place where you need warm waterproof outerwear. What I like about this coat is that it is really lightweight, waterproof and warm. It is also a good length and the sleeves are not too short ( a fault with another Seasalt coat I have). My normal size is roomy enough for a fleece or thick jumper underneath. Thoroughly recommend this coat.

Wonderful Coat

This coat is exactly what it claims to be - good fit, sensible length, water and wind proof, warm. How did I manage to wander with dogs and children without being snuggled up in my Plant Hunter coat? Every outdoor lover should have one!

Coat

Having taken a long time to decide to buy the coat I am delighted with it. I was apprehensive about purchasing a coat without viewing and trying on before purchase. However the coat has proved to be very good value, size is excellent, ( used your fit guide). To assist with size. Weight is excellent and is providing warmth during this cold weather.

Love love love

Been wanting a rain coat for some time, especially after using rubbish quality brands like regatta and finding myself wringing out coats after walks.
Used the size guide tool and it fits exactly as I would like it to, I tend to err on the side of caution and size up and I'm glad I did. It's comfortably roomy.

Tested the coat in horizontal rain on a 40 min walk yesterday and was bone dry and snug underneath. Hood is deliciously snug and doesn't blow down easily in British weather which is great.

Very happy with my purchase and am looking forward to finally enjoying our bleak weather!

Plant Hunter midnight coat

This is a stylish yet classic coat for outdoor use. I walk my dog in all weathers and a comfortable coat is essential. I am also a teacher and spend quite a lot of time walking around a large site at our city school. The colour is tasteful and works well in town and country. I would have given a 5 star rating but the hood needs to be slightly larger to fully cover the head and the sleeves are would benefit from a popper to draw the sleeves closer to the wrists to keep out draughts and rain. Otherwise a great coat for all ages and sizes.
