100% Cotton

This semi-sheer voile fabric is made from 100% cotton. Voile has a higher thread count and tighter weave than other cotton fabrics, which gives it a soft and silky feel. Lightweight and breathable, it drapes beautifully, making it ideal for summer tops and dresses. Each print is a limited edition, so snap it up fast - once it's gone, it's gone. Summer dress

Lovely cotton voile fabric, easy to sew and drapes well. Would need an underskirt.

Cotton voile

I am very impressed that Seasalt are taking the Covid-19 issue and using all sorts of creative ways to reach out to their customers. Having previously only bought clothing, I was thrilled to find that I could buy current fabrics online. So am just making a summer blouse out of one piece of cotton voile and intend to make a dress out of the other. Good quality lightweight fabric, can pucker if not carefully handled but is making up well. Dress will need a lined bodice.
Have also been inspired by the art workshops etc and have had a fair go at the botanical diary - my first attempt came out much better than I had hoped!
Well done to all of you, you are doing a fantastic job in trying times!

Perfection!

Perfect, as your fabric always is. Makes up beautifully, and washes well. Good luck to you all in these difficult times.

Beautiful light cotton fabric

I bought the 'Painted Campion Dune'-pattern of this beautiful cotton fabric and I'm really happy with the beautiful colours, the pattern size is as expected and the cloth is light and great to sew. A bit sad that the first thing I made with it was a face mask but now I'm the most stylish lady in the supermarket. It's the little things..

Wonderful to Sew

This was my third purchase of Seasalt voile. This fabric has a lovely print and is slightly more sheer than my previous purchases, I will need to wear a slip under the dress I have made but I think the top I have made will be fine without. The fabric was really easy to work with once I resigned to using French seams rather than zigzagging the edges. The other Seasalt voiles I have purchased have been washed and washed on a normal 30 degree was over a couple of years and still look good, hopefully this will wear just as well.

Sensational Fabric

First time I’ve bought fabric from Seasalt and it’s perfect. The cotton voile sews beautifully, doesn’t fray and feels gorgeous. I used this to make the Camber Top from Merchant & Mills and I’m delighted with it. I will definitely buy more fabric from Seasalt.

Painted Campion Dune- cotton voile

A lovey light and unusual fabric. I hope my daughter gets to wear it somewhere nice this summer.

Beautiful sun shining fabric

Lovely light cotton poplin. I'm part way through making a 1950s style halterneck jumpsuit with it. And will enjoy prancing around my garden in it, even if I can't wear it to the beach any time soon :)

Lovely material real easy to work with

Lovely pattern - I’ve made a summer day jumpsuit with it so far. It’s the first clothes item I’ve made since I was 15/16 (34 now!) and it turned out well. The material is light and easy wearing perfect for a summers day.

Fabric

Beautiful fabric which I have yet to make up.
Do wish my 2 meters had been available as a continuous length rather than 2x1 metre lengths

HOW WE MAKE OUR

UNIQUE PRINTS

Sophie Chadwick
Sophie Chadwick

Sophie and her textile design team delight us every month with an array of beautiful new prints inspired by Cornwall. Seasalt prints have a wonderful handcrafted look and each one is unique to us, you won’t find them anywhere else.

“The process of creating a Seasalt print usually starts with block printing, batik, painting or sketching. Once we’ve settled on a design we love, we work on scale, repeat and colours.”

“The flora and fauna found all around Cornwall provides a constant source of inspiration – you’ll often find pretty foliage, anemones, leaves and seed heads within our prints.”
