100% Cotton

This semi-sheer voile fabric is made from 100% cotton. Voile has a higher thread count and tighter weave than other cotton fabrics, which gives it a soft and silky feel. Lightweight and breathable, it drapes beautifully, making it ideal for summer tops and dresses. Each print is a limited edition, so snap it up fast - once it's gone, it's gone. We’d love to see what you make, share your creations on Instagram at #SeasaltArtsClub

Lovely quality cotton voile

I haven’t sewn this fabric yet but it’s the same superb quality that I’ve had from Seasalt previously. I’ve washed the fabric and will be making a top soon. Cotton voile is very similar to cotton lawn- light to the touch and sews and drapes beautifully.

Beautiful fabric

I saw the fabric made up as tops in the seasalt shop, but not available in my size. So I was delighted to find out that you sell the fabric. I haven't made it yet as we moved straight to jeans and a jumper weather, but I will make it up for next summer.

Cool cotton

This is my ‘go to’ fabric for summer clothes. I have made tops, dresses, shorts, trousers, PJ bottoms and face masks with it. The fabric is soft, light, drapes well and is great to sew. The designs are beautiful, original and the colours stunning.

Fantastic quality fabric

So versatile, washes beautifully keeping the individualistic colours intact. Love the cotton voile, you will not be disappointed.

Lovely fabric

I love the fabric and have made a dress and a top with sleeves. I’d love to send a picture but can’t seem to do that on this review form! Great for this weather!

Love this fabric

I have made several dresses and tops in Seasalt cotton voile. It washes well, is so easy to work with and handles like a dream. Recently finished a gorgeous dress and felt so comfortable and cool when wearing it in this heatwave.

Soft and lovely

Although I haven't yet made up this fabric it feels lovely to the touch and I'm thinking it will make a sweet blouse or soft nightdress. Or maybe both! It would be shame not to share the striking design with others! I love the yellow/orange flower design. Looking forward to creating something very soon!

Lovely fabric

I live in Spain and make all my summer dresses. The cotton voile is ideal material for this as it very cool and comfortable to wear and the designs are lovely! It also washes well and doesn't need ironing, hooray!
The only slight problem I've found is that the fabric is quite slippery to cut out and sew so can't be rushed.

Useful as a base layer - a blouse or petticoat

I draft my own patterns and sew everthing by hand. No buttons, no zips, collars, cuff,s facings, just a simple pull on style. I cut it easy through the bust and scoop out the neck and add a straight band with elastic. it draws up to fit snuggly round my neck but still fits over my head. By cutting on the cross I can get a long-sleeved round neck summer blouse out of a metre. There is no hem, I use the selvage. I'm a size 12 and shapeless!
This 3 metre length will either give me a blouse and matching petticoat (an idea copied by Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel a couple of years before he died) or 2 winter, i.e. longer, blouses.

Sophie and her textile design team delight us every month with an array of beautiful new prints inspired by Cornwall. Seasalt prints have a wonderful handcrafted look and each one is unique to us, you won’t find them anywhere else.

“The process of creating a Seasalt print usually starts with block printing, batik, painting or sketching. Once we’ve settled on a design we love, we work on scale, repeat and colours.”

“The flora and fauna found all around Cornwall provides a constant source of inspiration – you’ll often find pretty foliage, anemones, leaves and seed heads within our prints.”
