Just right

My fabrics arrived today, thank you very much. They're just what I wanted, and the colours are a bit deeper than they appear on the website, which I like. One thing - I did want to order the Colour Trials Garden Mix - but I think (correct me if I'm wrong!) that the word "teels" should be spelled "teals" ... assuming you're referring to the colour!

I'm delighted with this fabric. I've made a blouse, together with the ready-made bias binding to match. It's the first garment I've made for myself for about 25 years. I washed it before I cut it out and it dried quickly.
The cotton is light weight and easy to work with. Looking forward to wearing it in the summer.
I knew I'd need more than 1 metre, so bought three. Think I'll be making a scarf too, and maybe lining a bag.

Beautiful roses

The Rose Garden Mix has a beautiful rose pattern, and I fell in love with it at first sight, and in reality it is soft, smooth and gorgeous to feel. It would be beneficial to know the scale of the patterns on the fabrics, eg by having a ruler (metric and/or imperial) on the fabric in the second photograph above. It would be useful to have a 2 metre option: I m is too small for some garments, but 3 m is way too much.

Calm Colour

I chose this fabric (Garden Daisy Dark Citron) to complement some more brightly patterned fabric, to calm the mix. I did go into my local Seasalt shop to see if they had any garment made in this - they didn't, but I was able to feel some similar fabric in a blouse to check it was suitable. It feels so soft and fine - a lovely fabric.

Stunning design

The red flowers in the Rose Garden Mix material really caught my eye and I am so pleased with the fabric. Lovely and smooth and fine and I am really looking forward to using this to make a dress/tunic. Seasalt fabrics are always of very high quality and I can highly recommend. Thank you!

Lovely fabric

My first time buying the fabric online but I was very pleased. I hadn't ordered before as would have found it very useful to see swatches in the shop, could you start doing this please? Also the 2 metre length option would be great.

Handsome design.

Beautifully designed fabric. Like a previous pre-viewer I should like the option of buying a 2 metre length. I bought 2 x 1m lengths and I just hope that works! Three metres would just be too much waste. Some other companies supply smaller units in one continuous length, which would be a very good compromise. Any chance, Seasalt?

Beautiful light voile. A bit see through on the lighter coloured areas so a dress would need lining or a slip. I am going to use it to make a summery shirt to wear over camisoles.

This fabric is soooo beautiful! The minute I saw this print I decided it would be my birthday present from my husband [I told him shortly afterwards! :-) ]. I haven't used it yet- still trying to decide what it will become. I agree about the lengths offered. I am a plus size, so can never make anything with 1m, so my only other options are 3m/5m. I tend to buy the most striking prints, so too much of the same reduces the effect. I am often chuffed (for Seasalt) to identify their products on UK television programs shown here in Australia.

Sophie and her textile design team delight us every month with an array of beautiful new prints inspired by Cornwall. Seasalt prints have a wonderful handcrafted look and each one is unique to us, you won’t find them anywhere else.

“The process of creating a Seasalt print usually starts with block printing, batik, painting or sketching. Once we’ve settled on a design we love, we work on scale, repeat and colours.”

“The flora and fauna found all around Cornwall provides a constant source of inspiration – you’ll often find pretty foliage, anemones, leaves and seed heads within our prints.”
