  • Design Administration Assistant - Print (permanent)

    Supporting our Print team, the Design Administration Assistant will provide essential administrative support in all key processes throughout the Design Cycle, supporting the Designers to achieve creative profitable products that excite our customers and reinforce our brand values.

    We work at a fast pace so you will adhere to the Product Calendar and Critical Path whilst working closely with Design and Buying teams to ensure key deadlines are achieved on time. You will also manage the incoming submissions from suppliers, maintaining an organised and tidy filing area and ensuring correct approvals are available when required.

    Another key element of the role is ensuring product information within our system (PLM) is accurately updated and monitored at all critical stages, acting as a link between the Design team and other departments to enable them to complete tasks on time.

     

    You’ll help us by;

    • Keeping PLM up to date with strike off requests and comments
    • Tracking incoming submissions in line with the critical path
    • Amending and recolouring print designs
    • Gathering and organising colour and print research in support of Designers
    • Creating colour palettes and standards for design team, loading colours into PLM as directed
    • Ensuring print strike off filing area is organised and updated
    • Maintaining current seasonal print boards, prepare boards ready for re-use
    • Art-working print designs to send out to suppliers
    • Producing inspirational reports for Design team
    • Assembling, organising and managing courier packages

     

    The skills you’ll be sharing with the team;

    First and foremost you will be an enthusiastic and capable administrator with a textiles or design degree, ideally print related, who enjoys working in a busy team environment. With basic Adobe Suite skills, you will have a love for product, colour and a keen interest to develop a career in design.

    Good organisation, attention to detail and time management is essential, as is the ability to use your initiative and work well under pressure. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be willing to go the extra mile.

    If you are proactive, enthusiastic and efficient, this is the ideal opportunity to gain exposure within an in-house design team and understand how a growing retail business operates.

    We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Print Designer to join our textiles team, shaping and influencing our ranges and working closely with the product team to create profitable products that reinforce Seasalt values and brand handwriting.

    You’ll help us by;

    • Developing authoritative, distinctive and creative print collections that are profitable and sustainable, to excite and delight our customers whilst reinforcing Seasalt brand values and handwriting.
    • Being fully responsible and accountable for your own print designs and build into Seasalt’s print collections, taking a more self-directed approach in line with agreed response to seasonal brief.
    • Working closely with the Design team and your Product Team ensuring that the print reflects the key design messages and departmental strategy.
    • Adhering strictly to agreed critical path and product timetable.
    • Managing an effective and timely print design and development and sign off process, appropriate for product lead time
    • Ensuring PLM is complete and accurate at all critical stages in a prompt and timely manner, enabling other functions to complete tasks on time.
    • Together with your Product Team, working with the Product Marketing Team to convey key inspiration and ensure print story is accurately marketed to the customer.
    • Gathering and presenting organised aspirational colour and print research that demonstrates creativity and a strong aesthetic

     

     

    The skills you’ll be sharing with the team;

    You’ll have a strong print portfolio alongside a Textiles or print related degree. With a good understanding of the Seasalt aesthetic, you’ll have strong handdrawing skills and a good eye for detail and colour. Technically, you’ll be a competent user of Adobe Illustrator and also ideally Photoshop.

    Good organisation and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to use your initiative and work well at a fast pace and under pressure. You’ll also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable presenting to others and be an enthusiastic team player.

  • Support Technician

    As part of our Technology function, based on the beautiful Cornish coast, this role offers the opportunity to develop your IT career and expertise in a fast-paced environment.

    As a Support Technician, you will support Seasalt staff on our service desk with IT issues including desktop support, application support, POS support and server-side support, within specified SLA’s. You’ll also work with 3rd party service providers to provide high quality support, and to act as a point of contact for the escalation and resolution of issues.

    You'll help us by:

    • Answering calls and emails from Seasalt Staff regarding technical issues and logging them onto our Service Desk.
    • Communicating with 3rd parties to log issues and work with them to ensure tickets are followed up and responded to within an appropriate timeframe.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving Service Desk tickets within specified SLA’s.
    • Supporting users with planned software releases and updates.
    • Participating in root cause investigations for known problems and incidents.
    • Contributing towards standard operating procedures and knowledgebase articles.
    • Assisting in supporting interfaces between various business systems.
    • Monitoring batch routines and interfaces.
    • Assisting in Service Improvement Initiatives.
    • Helping to guide and assist Junior Support Technicians where required.

     

    Please note, as a member of the systems support team you will be required to provide on-call support one weekend in four (compensated with an on-call allowance).

    The skills you'll be sharing with the team:

    With previous experience in a similar role supporting various Microsoft operating systems and applications, you’ll have an understanding of Active Directory, DHCP and DNS. This will be backed up by industry related qualifications, such as MCP/ MCSA/ MCSE or equivalent.

    A solid problem solver, able to multi-task and remain calm in a crisis, you’ll also have experience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. This role also calls for a good communicator and team worker who is organised and driven, able to both deliver to deadlines and take initiative. Previous experience in retail or ecommerce would be an advantage.

  • Buyers Administrative Assistant

    Joining us as a Buyers Administration Assistant (BAA) is the ideal opportunity to launch your career in Buying within a fast paced and unique British brand located on the beautiful Cornish coast, proud of its heritage and with strong roots in the local community.

    You’ll provide administrative support throughout the buying cycle, exposing you to all end-to-end processes, making sure we achieve our sales and profit targets.

     

    You’ll help us by;

    • Updating and driving the Buying Calendar and Critical Path, ensuring key dates are met by each function (Buying, Design and Technical)
    • Managing our supplier relationships, including chasing weekly updates
    • Attending weekly progress chart meetings with the other functions to monitor the Critical Path and issue minutes
    • Ensuring the system is complete at all critical stages and updated regularly to allow other functions to complete tasks on time
    • Assisting the Buying team in ensuring that correct sample garments/products are received from suppliers in line with the Critical Path, are logged in and returned or disposed of as necessary
    • Ensuring correct presentation of all samples – pressed, correct hangers and ticketing
    • Researching competitor activity, undertake comparative shopping and write appropriate reports
    • Providing effective administrative support to Buying team, ensuring filing systems are developed and maintained
    • Supporting issue of target cost prices to suppliers, obtaining cost prices, fabric and production minimums from suppliers, as directed by the Buyer/ Assistant Buyer, and input into the system
    • Acting as sample control; maintaining garments, preparing samples and racks for meetings and gathering relevant information
    • Photographing, recording and labelling all directional and comparative shopping garments, updating reference folder each season

     The skills you’ll be sharing with the team;

    Driven and self-motivated you will have strong administrative experience within an office environment and a real passion to develop a career in buying and fashion. Methodical and highly organised, you’ll be able to effectively juggle competing priorities and work under pressure to deadlines.

    Hard working and with an exceptional attention to detail, you will be an excellent communicator and team player. We’re also looking for someone with solid Microsoft Office skills, an ability to quickly learn new systems and experience of negotiation and running meetings would be advantageous.

  • Payroll Administrator

    Seasalt is a modern Cornish company with an ambitious vision and over 900 employees nationwide. The People team are responsible for all HR related activities at Seasalt including employee relations, reward, payroll, recruitment, learning and development and onboarding. As a Payroll Administrator you will assist with the maintenance of all Payroll functions, handling administration tasks as required.

     

    This is a great time to join us as we implement new technology, offering the opportunity to help shape processes and efficiencies.

     

    You’ll help us by;

    • Processing multiple monthly payrolls from start to finish
    • Processing starters, leavers and all amendments in a timely manner
    • Gathering, checking and inputting time records
    • Administering all statutory payments according to government legislation, i.e. SSP, SMP, SAP and SPP
    • Dealing with Year End processes and procedures
    • Providing advice to employees and managers in relation to pay
    • Inputting data into our systems
    • Recording sickness, absence and holidays
    • Calculating holiday entitlement and payments and producing monthly reports
    • Processing of Attachments of Earnings
    • Assisting with Auto Enrolment/Pension
    • Tracking month end adjustments to hours for pay purposes
    • Dealing with payroll deductions such as loan agreements and court orders
    • Communicating effectively with other departments, such as HR and Finance
    • Managing Payroll mailbox and responding to queries
    • Maintaining employee databases for external requirements

    The skills you’ll be sharing with the team;

    With prior experience in a payroll adminstrative role, an understanding of statutory payments and HR/Payroll systems, you’ll be highly numerate with an excellent attention to detail. An analytical mind and good organisational skills are key, as is the ability to work to deadlines.

    You’ll also be great with people, a team player willing to be flexible and develop. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential in order to provide a great service to our people. Experience using iTrent would be highly advantageous.
