  • Area Manager

    North Full Time Details

    Seasalt is a growing women’s lifestyle retailer and we now have a fantastic opportunity for an Area Manager to join us and be responsible for managing our shops within the North of the UK. Our customers truly are right at the heart of everything we do. We live and breathe our products and are proud of the exceptional customer experience delivered within our beautiful shops!

    The North area currently has up to 13 stores and includes Belfast, Jesmond, Morpeth, Keswick, Lytham, Northallerton, York, Harrogate, Leeds, Beverley, Fox Valley, Chester and Bakewell.

    Key objectives

      • Commercial and financial performance of the stores, ensuring continued sales growth and the delivery of an exceptional service experience through the motivation and personal development of the store teams.
      • Maximize area sales, profitability and operational excellence setting clear business, commercial and personal goals that will ensure the retail and brand vision are consistently met across the area.

    What we're looking for

    The ideal candidate would be an existing Area Manager, preferably within a lifestyle brand, based in the North of England with proven success of managing a group of stores across a wide geographical area. If you are passionate about delivering a great store experience for both our customers and teams and can inspire and influence others across the business then we would like to hear from you.

    You will be a results driven retail leader with strong commercial and financial skills as well as proven evidence of developing a successful and motivated team. Alongside being highly committed, positive and proactive, you’ll also have a desire to support the growth of the company and meet business wide objectives.

    Please note, due to the nature of the role, candidates will be need to be open to extensive travel across the North and some UK travel.

    A full clean driving license and access to a car are also essential.

    Seasalt is growing and we now have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager to join us in our brand new store in Aldeburgh, opening in July 2019!

    Key responsibilities

    • Assist the store manager in driving store sales, maximising profitability, and achieving KPI targets and fulfil all management duties in their absence.
    • Support the store manager in delivering commercial excellence and high standards of customer service.
    • Act as a brand ambassador and role model, promoting Seasalt key values and behaviours, in order for your team to embody these for the benefit of our customers. 
    • Support store manager with the training and development of the team to maximise their potential and create a culture that ensures the customer is at the centre of everything we do.

    1 x 20 hour permanent contract

    All of our shops are open 7 days a week, 364 days a year so we are looking for candidates who are flexible for both weekday and weekend working, including Sundays.

    Key responsibilities

    • Support the management team to drive sales, achieve KPI targets and execute store operations to the highest standards.
    • Manage visual merchandising of shop windows and displays
    • Responsible for the shop and team in the absence of the management team.
    • Support the management team in driving commercial excellence, reinforcing and delivering high and consistent standards of customer service.
    • Act as a brand ambassador and role model, promoting Seasalt key values and behaviours, in order for your team to embody these.
    • Support the management team in leading and training the team to maximise their potential and create a culture that ensures the customer is at the centre of everything we do.

    What we're looking for

    You’ll be passionate about providing excellent customer service and have a keen interest in visual merchandising and fashion. Attention to detail is key, as is having a flexible approach and the ability to work to targets. You will have previous supervisor experience in a high turnover store and will enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
