    • Assisting the store manager in driving store sales, maximising profitability, and achieving KPI targets and fulfil all management duties in their absence.

    Seasalt is a growing lifestyle brand where our customers are at the heart of everything we do and we now have a great opportunity for an experienced Head of Retail Sales on a maternity cover contract.

    Reporting to our Omni Channel Sales Director this role will be accountable for the commercial and financial performance of all stores, ensuring continued sales growth and the delivery of an exceptional customer experience through the motivation and personal development of the Area Management team.

    This role will maximize revenue through leading the Area Management team to deliver our Retail strategy through their store teams. You will also work in partnership with the Head of Retail Operations to ensure that the service provided to stores enables teams to focus on our customer, maximizing sales and delivering a consistently high standard of customer service experience.

    With a real passion for our brand you will be able to develop, support and nurture your team and with over 65 shops across the UK and Ireland, and more due to open this year, it's a great time to join us.

    Location is flexible however candidates will need to be able to travel to Falmouth, Cornwall on a regular basis.

    You'll help us by;

    • Implementing a clear retail strategic plan that drives sales growth, profitability and KPI delivery.
    • Being responsible for the development and delivery of annual retail sales and payroll budget plans to deliver the business financial goals.
    • Managing, monitoring and reviewing costs and expenses in order to achieve budgeted contribution and profit.
    • Leading and developing the Area Management team to routinely review all store performance, recognising future growth opportunities and risk and regularly analyse shop performance and trends
    • Leading and developing the Area Management team to adopt a proactive approach to improving the customer experience by maintaining a wider view of competitor and future retail trends to strengthen the service we offer.
    • Working in partnership with our creative teams, take accountability for the delivery and maintenance of the highest visual and retail standards across all stores.
    • Developing, implementing and reviewing operational efficiencies across the business, making recommendations that will ensure consistency throughout all areas.
    • Leading in all aspects of people management to ensure we attract, retain and develop our people.
    • Lead our retail engagement agenda, driving actions that maintain great employee engagement with the business.
    • Working with the HR team to support with the delivery of effective development for store teams.

    The skills you'll be sharing with the team;

    With a proven experience as Head of Retail Sales you will be able to support a growing retail team to deliver against strategic priorities and you will be able to analyse financial and commercial reports with a view to managing risk and opportunities.

    You will have evidence of setting goals and objectives and will have the ability to exceed all sales, profit and KPI targets and you will establish strong and effective working partnerships within your own and the wider business teams

    With a positive, flexible and adaptable approach you will be highly driven to meet deadlines and will have the experience and knowledge in this field to be able to influence and challenge at all levels. Clear leadership and excellent people management skills will be key to success in this role.
