  • Buyers Admin Assistant

    Studios Full-Time Details

    We're looking for a Buyers’ Admin Assistant to support our buying team in all processes throughout the buying cycle in order to achieve the agreed sales and profit targets. You’ll adhere strictly to the Product Calendar and Critical Path and ensure PLM is complete at all critical stages to allow other functions to complete tasks on time.

    Key responsibilities

    Critical Path

     
    • Update and drive the Critical Path, by line/option, ensuring key dates are met by each function (Buying, Design and Technical)
    • Chase suppliers for weekly updates, manage supplier relationship
    • Attend weekly progress chart meetings with the above functions to monitor the Critical path and issue minutes 

    Supply Chain Liaison

     
    • Assist the Buying Team in issuing target cost prices to suppliers, obtaining cost prices, fabric and production minimums from suppliers, as directed by the Assistant Buyer and input into the system
    • Create good working relationships with all suppliers, to the benefit of Seasalt

    Sample Control

     
    • Assist the Buying Team to ensure that correct sample garments/products are received from suppliers in line with the Critical Path, are logged in and returned or disposed of as necessary (as per the company Sample Management Policy and disposal policy)
    • Ensure correct presentation of all samples – pressed, correct hangers and ticketing
    • Maintain the sample garments for Department
    • Keep sample cupboard / showroom in order on a daily basis
    • Prepare samples for meetings and gather relevant information, as directed by the Buying team
    • Prepare racks for presentations and Weekly Trade meeting, as directed by the Buying Team
    • Photograph, record and label all directional and comparative shopping garments, updating reference folder each season

    Commercial Aptitude

     
    • Strictly work to Buying Calendar and Critical Path
    • Research competitor activity, undertake comparative shopping, as directed by the Buying Team and write appropriate reports

    PLM

     

    To continually update:

    • Receipt/Log/request of Lab dips, Strike Offs, Trims, fabrics and samples
    • Create Colours
    • Product Management
    • SMS, PP and Gold seal tracking
    • Fit schedule
    • SMS delivery schedule
    • Line Books as required

    Microsoft AX

     
    • Ensure barcodes and other Item pre-requisites, as required, are created and maintained in AX correctly and in a timely manner

    Providing effective admin support to Buying team

    • Ensure effective filing systems are developed and maintained with details relating to stock orders and quality control issues etc.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive catalogue of past orders for reference

  • Senior Womenswear Designer

    Studios Full-Time Details

    Our design team at Seasalt are inspired by our Cornish coastal and creative heritage to create unique, useful and beautiful clothing and homeware which speak of our beautiful surroundings. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior designer to join a lifestyle brand and play a key role in our small design team, shaping and influencing our ranges.

    We aim to continually excite our customers and so you will work closely with the design team and design director to create profitable products which achieve this and that reinforce Seasalt values and brand handwriting. Using our product database (PLM) you’ll develop and design the products, reflecting departmental strategy and adhering strictly to the critical path and buying calendar.

    Key responsibilities include;

    • Design and develop a range of womenswear products which maximise profitability and sales and communicate a Seasalt handwriting, ensuring integrity to our brand
    • Lead designers within the womenswear department
    • Provide support and strategies to assist the design team to smoothly deliver responses to Seasonal Briefs to Heads of Departments and Directors, Sales teams and partners
    • Research appropriate new trends, fabrics, colours and communicate ideas clearly
    • Source and select viable new fabrics/trims in consultation with buyer and build relationships with suppliers
    • Draw conclusions from sales data to make informed style proposals to given option plans, working with buyer to evolve the range and continue to meet customer needs
    • Follow garment from initial conception to delivery
    • Ensure PLM is accurately and promptly maintained with assistance from design assistant administrators
    • Ensure critical path and key dates are strictly adhered to, updating the team at weekly meetings
    • Create and update mood, artwork capsule and product boards and key look capsule information

    What we’re looking for

    With previous senior designer experience, you’ll have a strong portfolio developed through extensive womenswear design experience either within a brand or retailer, ideally including knitwear.  You’ll have a good eye for detail and colour, understand garment construction and have experience in communicating with overseas suppliers. Technically, alongside your fashion design degree, you’ll be a competent user of Adobe Illustrator and have an aptitude for picking up new IT systems quickly.

    Good organisation and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to use your initiative and work well under pressure. You’ll also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable presenting to others and be an enthusiastic team player. Although it won’t be required on a frequent basis, a willingness to travel as required is expected.

  • Senior Garment Technologist

    Studios Full-Time Details

    Seasalt is a growing women’s lifestyle retailer and you can find our products in over 40 shops around England and Wales, or at 350 stockists around the UK, including select John Lewis and Fenwick stores.

    As a senior garment technologist you will work with the head of technical to deliver our knitwear range ensuring design integrity, quality, fit, performance, safety and consistency in line with departmental strategy to achieve agreed sales and profit targets. You’ll be a key member of the technical team, working with buying, design, marketing and sales (wholesale and retail), graphic design and the creative director to ensure successful products. 

    You will follow the garment from initial design handover, through sample development, to production, in line with agreed range plan, target price and Critical Path. 

    Key responsibilities

    • Develop product from initial design handover, using your expertise to utilise forthcoming technical advances and keep ahead of our competition
    • Work with design and buying to identify and develop new fabrics
    • Mentor and train the team
    • Assist in the range development and work closely with design and buying to create a range of products that reflect the Seasalt strategy
    • Create and update product specification sheets from concept to production stage
    • Fit and grade products, contributing technical perspective for all garments and ensuring all products are fit for purpose and consistency of fit is maintained
    • Ongoing risk assessment of products through development phase
    • Approval of development and pre-production samples and approval to ship, ensuring it is correct for fabric/yarn, style, aesthetics, fit and trim
    • Build good working relationships with sourcing/production agents and suppliers and ensure effective communication
    • Maintain key blocks and assess / update in response to customer needs or design direction
    • Review and analyse return rates on quarterly basis for all products, feedback to Senior Management team and provide solutions to reduce the level of returns

    Studios Full-Time Details

    We’re looking for a Head of Creative Services to work with the Brand Director to deliver exceptional content that will engage our customers across all channels.

    Managing a highly creative team, the Head of Creative Services will develop a strategy, plan and execute all creative concepts. They will be accountable for delivering all creative, across all channels, Online, catalogues, POS, Social etc.  to agreed concepts and sign off creative in line with the Brand values to ensure that the customer has a clear and consistent customer journey.

    Key responsibilities

    • Work with the Brand Director to develop innovate creative campaigns in line with the brand guidelines
    • Review the marketplace for new and innovative ways of presenting our product and brand across all channels
    • Manage the in-house photography and graphics team ensuring they deliver exceptional outputs to all deadlines
    • Work collaboratively with all internal teams to successfully deliver consistent and commercial plans
    • Ensure the creative is consistent across all mediums – photography, video gifs etc.
    • Sign off all creative to the agreed concepts and regularly review outputs with the Brand Director
    • Support the teams with all shoot planning
    • Manage the budgets for the photography and graphics departments
    • Review and assess all creative outputs with the Brand Director and build lessons learned into future creative direction

  • Warehouse Assistants - casual contract

    Redruth Part-Time Details

    We are looking for enthusiastic and conscientious Warehouse Assistants to join our hardworking, fast paced warehouse team in Redruth on a casual contract and be available to support during peak times.

    Your main tasks will be to pick, pack and despatch orders to our Seasalt stores and online customers, but will also include unloading deliveries, checking online returns, and a host of other tasks to help keep our warehouse running smoothly!

    The successful candidates will need to be friendly, enjoy working as part of a team and comfortable working to targets and deadlines. You should also be open to working on a multitude of warehouse tasks when required, and have excellent communication skills.

    If you are looking for flexible work to fit around your commitments, this casual contract could meet your needs as well as ours. Our warehouse is open seven days a week so shift work will include both weekdays and weekends.

    Hourly rate on offer - £5 - £7.50 (dependent on age)

  • Temporary Sales Staff

    Exeter Temporary Details

    On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August we will be holding a warehouse sale at Exeter Westpoint where we will be offering a large discount off an exciting variety of Seasalt stock.

    In order to support the event, we are looking for temporary staff from Thursday 10th August – Monday 14th August to help with the set up and close down plus the replenishment, sales floor recovery and general customer service during the event itself.

    Details of contracts on offer;

    • Minimum 24 contract (3 days) up to maximum 40 hour contract (5 days)
    • 8 hour daily shifts between the hours of 8am - 7pm
    • £7.70 per hour

    In order to do this you will need the following;
