WINTER IN WEST CORNWALL

From deserted beaches to wooded valleys, the wild landscape around us is a constant inspiration to our design team. This month, their sketched watercolour prints capture scenes of Penwith, in a palette alight with warm jewel tones. The fluid painterly style draws on the colourful designs of Arts & Crafts silk makers, Crysede, who were based in West Cornwall in the 1920s.

We shot on location in St Ives harbour, on one of the town’s famous jumbo boats , William Paynter. Decorated for the season with Cornish greenery and laden with gifts, we caused quite a stir for onlookers!
