100% Linen

A studiowear-inspired longline jacket made from heavier weight linen, garment-dyed to produce a beautiful, sun-faded hue. With wear, the colour may fade further for a washed-out and worn-in look that we hope you’ll love as much as we do. We've given our Woodcarver Jacket princess seams to add shape and to create a flattering silhouette. The body is fully lined and it's finished with a soft, relaxed collar and two patch pockets. Wear it open with the sleeves rolled up over Breton stripes for a relaxed look.

wonderful

I bought a similar one twenty years ago abroad and wanted to replace it as it had been mended so many times, pockets hanging off, cuffs frayed etc., and I bought a Seasalt dress in a local shop for an upcoming event and wished I had a jacket new and good enough to wear with it - then found Seasalt did this. Very very happy with it, absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I did however resist buying it for a couple of days because I have a personal boycott on anything from China - to do with human rights and all that. I gave in, made an exception as I could not find one anywhere else and certainly not one as lovely as this. Just wish things weren't made in China. I know the arguments for and against so I hope I don't come under attack.

We appreciate your concerns about manufacturing in China.
There are certain products where it has proven really challenging to find a source elsewhere. Having said that, we now produce elements of our Rain™ collection in Vietnam and are expanding our supply base to offer alternatives where we can.
We believe in a long term commitment to our suppliers. This approach not only ensures we consistently receive the best quality product but it also allows us to develop trust and an in-depth understanding of each supplier and their facilities.
Our teams are in daily contact with our suppliers but, in addition to this, we arrange visits to our suppliers, including those in China, and similarly they come and see us in here in Cornwall. These trips provide the opportunity to review their factories and working conditions.
We have stringent requirements around freedom of association, working environments, wages, legal age of working, hours worked etc. and we are members of the Ethical Trading Initiative . You can find out more detail here: https://www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk/customer/pages/about/our-responsibilities
We also have Seasalt agents who are based in all of the countries where we operate. They are our eyes and ears, meeting our suppliers frequently to help give us a full picture of the situation there.
While we recognise we’re not perfect, we’re working hard to ensure that every worker and supplier complies with our standards and terms of business. We’re not yet able to influence a government, but hope to be able to support individuals, who might, in turn, become influencers.
It’s stated clearly on each garment, and on the website product description, the country of manufacture, so that our customers can make an informed decision.
I hope that this information helps, but please feel free to get in touch if you have any further concerns.

Love the look!

This jacket is exactly what I was looking for - longer length so it goes well over tunics as well as T-shirt’s or jumpers. Heavyweight linen, fully lined and hangs well. The fit is relaxed and the smart yet casual look of the jacket is ideal for a variety of occasions. Love it!😍

Relaxed with Style

Delighted with the Petite fitting as a regular would have been way too long. Fabric is weighty and I like the washed look to the colour. Looks good worn with leggings and tunic as well as jeggings with top and cardigan. Just the kind of casual jacket I was looking for.

Lovely jacket

As soon as I saw this Linen Jacket I knew I had to purchase it. I did try a size 12 Regular but decided to exchange for a 12 Petite and this was much better as I am just 5.2 to 5.3. I am a Seasalt fan and have Several dresses, Jumpers, teas and jackets and as usual this jacket is as good as all the others. Good quality as expected.

Almost perfect

I do love this jacket, the material is beautiful and so is the colour, also the lenght is really nice despite being only 4’11’’.
The fit could be better, the shape it’s a bit unflattering and the shoulders are too broad for me, I’m still keeping it as it’s nearly impossible to find this type of jackets in petite sizes.
I bought a size 8 petite, on most brands I wear a 10petite but with Seasalt I always have to size down.

Classy

I am a size 22 5'7" pear shaped and I bought this in a size 20 and 22 as I was unsure of the fit. The 20 was too small but the 22 was perfect with one slight problem and that was the arm length was a bit long, instead of coming to the top of my thumbs it came to the top of my fingers. The style is straight cut boxy. As I really liked the jacket/coat/colour which is a great length and heavier linen fabric I decided to stick with it and roll the sleeves up if necessary. Delighted with my purchase as it can be dressed up or down.

Fab jacket

I absolutely love this jacket. Perfect fit (Love the longer length; great to wear over tunics. Beautiful colour (goes well with navy/black jeans). Well made and lined. Ideal weight fabric for the British spring/summer/autumn.
