Clouded Sky Jumper

Good colour - Garnet, soft and good fit. Bought the blue last year and yes they bobble but a wool comb deals with the bobbles.

Sad

I bought 2 of these jumpers and they have both bobbled terribly after just one wear, I'm really disappointed, when your paying nearly £60 for a jumper you expect better, have never been disappointed with a seasalt purchase before,

Comments:

Dear Pen1765,
Thanks for your review of the Clouded Sky Jumper. The ‘pilling’ or bobbles that you are experiencing are a natural occurrence but particularly so in better quality yarns. This happens because, as the yarn is knitted into a garment and the garment is worn, over time the ‘fluff’ gets tangled as it is rubbed. This results in little balls of fluff – the ‘pilling’. The most common area affected are the underarms and sides of body but, equally, it can happen on the main body if, say, a seatbelt rubs.
The bobbles that appear are easily picked off, either by hand or with a ‘bobble’ remover but they are far easier to remove from a garment containing quality yarn as opposed to a cheaper yarn mix item. Whilst it initially can be a nuisance, as the yarn Seasalt use is of a very high quality, the ‘pilling’ will decrease with wear. If you’d like any further information or advice, please call our friendly customer service team on 01326 640075 or pop onto Live Chat on our website at www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk, where we’d be happy to assist you.
Best wishes, Seasalt

Too Itchy

Lovely colour and fit. I'm 16/18 and the 18 was loose enough to wear something underneath. Unfortunately I'm sending it back because it was too itchy for me. I'd always have to wear something long sleeved with a collar underneath it.

Soft....

The sweater is very soft and cosy, and I wear it over a cotton polo neck for a warm neck! I have not washed it yet. Love the colour and the detail on the cuffs, hem and neckline.

Soft and luxurious

It is so soft and lovely. The fit is very nice, being shaped but not tight, I found it flattering and smart looking. Looks good on its own or with a contrasting shirt underneath It is soft look but is even softer touch, it is so cozy. It is soft enough that people keep touching me, but luckily I mostly hang out with my kids so it just means extra cuddles for mum :)

Everyday wear.

Lovely details on sleeves and neckline. Relaxed everyday wear.

Love the style but there is bobbling and there is bobbling

I really loved this jumper from the moment I tried it on; great style, lovely and soft, a nice touch with the contrast striping in the neck and sleeves and a good length. But sadly it really has bobbled up badly with everyday wear hence only a 3. I don't think I have had a piece of knitwear bobble like this in a long time. A real shame.

Jumper looks scruffy

I loved the shape and colour of jumper but even before wearing it looked scruffy as badly creased. And as others have said very badly bobbled. Overall after one wear looked a mess unacceptable at virtually £60.
I do not accept that it is possible to debobble fabric too thin. It is simply poor quality. I have wool jumpers far cheaper from a common brand which look far nicer after years of wear.
I have bought other Seasalt items and have been very pleased with quality and style but I feel you need to rethink knitwear.

Shame

Like other reviewers I loved this jumper when I first bought it with the matching shirt but on first wearing it bobbled quite badly. After washing in cold water it shrank and looked like 'boiled wool'. This is a shame as originally it was nice. Can no longer wear it and thinking about taking it back.
