80% Merino, 20% Nylon

Our feminine take on the nautical jumpers of Cornish fishermen, knitted from a soft, cosy merino-rich blend. Breathable and lightweight, merino wool is one of the best yarns nature has to offer and with gentle care, this jumper will be a favourite for seasons to come. The grown-on neck and raglan sleeves give an elegant shape that we love with long skirts or simple trousers.

Cosy and smart

This jumper is true to size and feels really cosy but stylish too. Love the stitching detail at the sleeves. I ordered two jumpers to have a choice but once I tried them on there was no way I was sending either back!

Perfect!

I love this jumper; mainly for the beautiful 'nettle' colour, which is gorgeous, but also for the simple, flattering design, streamline neck shaping and the warmth. True to size as well. More colours would be wonderful Seasalt!

Perfect jumper

This jumper is the perfect everyday jumper for me. I like the smart high neckline and it’s really warm and breathable. The fit and style I find perfect, and it’s not too long which I find other sea salt jumpers can be. A really great jumper!

Porth Seal Jumper

I'm 5'8" and a size 14, the jumper was shorter than expected (yes, I did check measurement before ordering and it's definitely shorter than stated) also the jumper looked just wrong on me, blocky and unflattering,. I think the models in the pics must be a size 8 wearing a size 14 jumper! I have found that the sizing in general with seasalt is inconsistent, I ordered a size 12 dress which fits perfectly (all my dresses from seasalt are a size 12 so not a one-off) and yet a size 14 mac was too small and short in the arms. I'll stick to ordering dresses online in the future.

Response to Seasalt's answer

I did check the measurements given online and the length of the jumper measured from 'from the back of the neck' is very much shorter than that stated. The top edge of the jumper sits higher than that, but even when measured from the top edge, the jumper is still 3-4 cm shorter than the measurement given.

Much shorter than shown online

Really disappointed to find that this is at least 4" shorter (and much wider) than shown online. (There isn't a 'fit' option for this, so I've had to put 'True to Size' but it isn't!!) I'm 5' 7" and size 14; it barely reaches below my waist while hanging loose at the back, which looks stupid on someone my age. The tops I ordered at the same time were both significantly longer than the jumper. It is lovely and soft, and if it were longer, I could probably accept the bagginess, but it will have to go back. So disappointing.

Disappointing

A really lovely jumper; but possibly the worst I have ever owned for long term wearing. Loved it on arrival: but rubbed up slightly after first wear. Despite careful washing, it grew wider and shorter every time I washed it. Being a short and wide person, that should have been good; but it was too excessive, even for me! It also 'bobbles' after every wear - so much so, the bits fall off as you move about. A very disappointing garment.

Hi Ruthgolfer
Thank you for your review and we're so sorry that you're not completely satisfied with your Seasalt Jumper.
Of course, in line with our 'no quibble' refund policy, we'd be happy to offer you a full refund if you'd like. Just pop it back to us using the Freepost label in your parcel.
Bobbling and pilling is a natural occurrence in yarns. As the garment is worn, over time, the yarn gets tangled as it is rubbed. This results in little balls of fluff.
To remove the bobbles we'd recommend using a de-bobbler occasionally. Once you've removed the bobbles a few times, you should find that the bobbling decreases with wear.
As always, our Customer Service team would be delighted to help, just call on 01326 640075 or pop onto a chat at www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk

shrinkage

This jumper is gorgeous but be very aware of the washing, mine is now useless after a very gently hand wash and a tiny spin just like any other jumper that I owned with all other makes I gave it a tiny very light spin so that it was not dripping wet. I am very sad to have lost it and very wary about seasalt jumpers going forward

Comments:

Hi Christine
Thanks for your review of the Porth Seal Jumper, but we're really sorry to hear that your jumper is now useless.
This jumper should be hand washed in cool water; it's likely the spin, which is not recommended for this item has caused the problem due to the agitation in the spinning process.
We do always advise following the care instructions on the Care Label on any of our garments, or if you prefer, our customer service team would be pleased to help with specific queries. Call 01326 640075 or hop onto a chat at www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk
