A stylishly oversized jumper in autumnal Seasalt colours. Our Fruity Jumper is made from the softest merino yarn and knitted in a neat, textured garter stitch. Designed for a really relaxed fit, it has a wide, round neckline with a rolled edge finish. The rib trimmed, step back hem means it’s slightly longer at the back. Perfect with everything from jeans to printed skirts.

We source our wool carefully to ensure that 100% of the lambswool and merino we use is certified ‘non-mulesed’.

I gave it a try.

I had wanted that sweater since last year and was happy when it came back on to the website. I wanted to give it a try despite the negative comments. Sadly, i had the same experience as all other customers: lots of piling. Does not look tidy for long. I will therefore keep it for indoors or relaxed days. But cannot use it for days when I want to look a bit smarter. It’s sad, because it could be a great sweater. I wanted to buy one in another color, but I think I’ll leave it here.

Dear K,

Thank you for your review and we're so sorry that you're not completely satisfied with your Seasalt Jumper.

Of course, in line with our 'no quibble' refund policy, we'd be happy to offer you a full refund if you'd like. Just pop it back to us using the Freepost label in your parcel.

Bobbling and pilling is a natural occurrence in yarns. As the garment is worn, over time, the yarn gets tangled as it is rubbed. This results in little balls of fluff.

To remove the bobbles we'd recommend using a de-bobbler occasionally. Once you've removed the bobbles a few times, you should find that the bobbling decreases with wear.

As always, our Customer Service team would be delighted to help, just call on 01326 640075 or pop onto a chat at www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk

Best wishes,
The Seasalt Team

Fruity jumper

Loved the colour, a lovely blue shade but so disappointed with the quality. The jumper bobbled with the first wear, it has now been relegated to a gardening jumper! I have been a regular customer at our local Seasalt store and always enthused about the quality of the items I have bought. I can not recommend the jumpers unfortunately!

Don't buy it!

Very disappointed! Expected a lot better, bobbly under the arms and seams at first wear and all over after first wash

Bobbles!

I have bought six fruity jumpers and they all bobble after a couple of wears! I try to carefully de-bobble them but to no avail. I still wear them regularly but they are only for casual wear now which is a shame.

Lovely and warm

I love these jumpers and have 2 of them. If you want a lovey warm casual jumper and are not bothered that it bobbles from hour 1 of wearing, then this is the jumper for you! My first one was in the sale so I wasn’t too bothered that it looked a bit worn and battered after about 2 weeks but my second one I paid full price for as this lovely red was never going to be in the sale! I was a bit more fed up about the bobbling this time. I was going to say I wouldn’t buy another one but I just might!

Miss

Bought this jumper a few months ago at full price - something I rarely do. First time worn and 'pilling' all over. DO NOT buy this jumper.

Selling the Cornish brand - made in China!!

Lovely but they don't wash well

These are lovely jumpers with an initially nice fit.
Unfortunately after carefully washing on a wool specific setting it shrunk a whole size and now has a very felt like texture and appearance.
If you buy one of these I would recommend you carefully handwash or have it professionally dry cleaned

Hi Jen,
Thanks for your review of the Fruity Jumper, but we're sorry to hear that shrinking and felting has occurred; this is usually the result of machine washing or a higher temperature used when washing.
We recommend to 'Hand wash in cool water' online and on the care label for this jumper; we do recognise that newer washing machines have hand wash facilities but unfortunately the agitation this creates is too much for the merino wool.
We have created a handy guide to looking after our knitwear, I have popped a link below.

heartbroken

I'm so heartbroken, my favorite green jumper has been hand washed and shrunk! I'm so upset, i love this jumper, the way it fitted and the shade of green was what i’ve been waiting for, for ages. Couldn’t believe it when i saw it. Washed it once, still fine but the second time no, it has tightened up lost its luster and its shape and size!
I do not know how to deal with this. Any tips from anyone to get its shape back would be gratefully received. I don’t know what to do.

Niice, but....

Initially, I was extremely pleased with this jumper. Washed well, very cosy.
Three washes later, not so happy. Washed at 30 degrees, but could see the fibres after this last wash were tightening up. Oh my goodness, the bobbling. I am shedding wool 'balls' everywhere.
I did purchase in the sale. Pleased I did so.
Ordinarily I am very happy with the quality of Seasalt.

Hi Elsa
Thanks for reviewing your Fruity Jumper, but we're sorry to hear that the fibres are tightening and the item has bobbled.
We always advise washing according to the Care instructions, and for the Fruity Jumper it's 'Hand Wash in Cool Water'.
The issues you've encountered are likely to have been caused by machine washing at 30 degrees.
If it helps, our customer service team would be pleased to help with specific Product Care queries. Call 01326 640075 or hop onto a chat at www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk

Loved it but didn't last

I found this item really hard to review, as while I love the feel of it on (light but warm and cosy) it just hasn't aged well. I've only ever washed as per instructions but it bobbles terribly and the knot just looks 'scruffy'. The stitching came undone on the sleeve after about a week but I decided against returning as I could stitch it myself but it doesn't give a feeling of quality. I have resigned it to indoor/scruffy wear only, which is sad for an item of its price and age.
