Fully waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Our Plant Hunter Coat is a relaxed-fitting, parka-style coat ready to take on the elements. Made from our innovative, beautifully soft, cotton-rich Tin Cloth® fabric, it falls to mid-thigh at the front and has a dipped, fishtail hem at the back with snap fastening vent. The top half of the coat is lined with cosy fleece fabric, while the bottom half is quilted to keep the chill at bay throughout the winter. The cosy, fleece-lined hood has an adjustable drawcord, and it has a handy two-way zip, snap fastening front pockets and poppered cuffs so you can roll the sleeves up or down. It also has an internal waist drawcord.

TIN CLOTH®
Inspired by traditional oilskins, our unique Tin Cloth® coats and jackets are crafted from hard wearing natural fabrics finished with our high-performance waterproofing treatment. The result is a waterproof, windproof and breathable jacket with a soft yet durable finish.

I love this coat

I bought a Janelle coat last year and liked it so much I decided to buy another Seasalt coat in a shorter length, the Plant HUnter. This one. like the Janelle, is beautifully made, very comfortable and warm and look s very nice indeed. I love the colour and print and really like the cut of the coat, especially the way the hood frames my face but does not obscure vision. The coat is lightweight but cosy
and has plenty of room for warm jumpers underneath. The pockets are good too. Overall, a great coat!

Superb coat, wonderful colour

I bought this as an alternative to the ubiquitous puffer coat for walks, and I'm so glad I did. It's warm without being heavy and genuinely waterproof which knocks puffers out of the game. The mustard colour is distinctive and fabulous and I've had many compliments on it. Your sizing guide was really helpful and I've ended up with a good fit, although as a tall person I'm surprised how long the sleeves are. I'm very pleased you've stayed clear of overt branding and fancy linings - this is low key and stylish, thank you so much.

Cosy & Dry

I used the size guide which was very accurate considering I did not trust it initially. my coat is a good fit with slightly more room for a jumper on very cold days. I thought the colour was a little murky but my husband says the colour suits me. So nice to have rainwear that keeps me drier than an average jacket.

Finally a Wonderful & Long Coat

I love this coat. It has been a struggle to find one that is long enough, waterproof enough and attractive and my long search has finally come to an end. It's so well made I have a feeling it will last a long time. Thanks guys!

Love it, but beware of colour...

I received my new Plant Hunter coat today in the Mast colour, and it is definitely not the turquoise colour depicted on your site, it is more of a dark teal colour. I actually prefer it to the colour in the pictures so it was a nice surprise for me when I opened the package, but some might be disappointed. I checked on several different computers/devices to see if my resolution was off but it was the same colour on each. As you name your colours with a nautical theme etc., you might want to get a more accurate photographic depiction of colour, as it is sometimes difficult to know what you’re actually getting until it’s in front of you.

Anyway, I absolutely love the coat. This is my second Plant Hunter and the first was the best waterproof I ever had. Got it three years ago and I still wear it, although it is getting a bit shabby as I wear it for dog walking on dreich days. Still giving it 5/5 as the colour made me love it even more.

A Very Good Coat

Tried out my new raincoat in a November Monsoon and was very happy - and dry - afterwards. The coat is lovely and warm and the hood a very good fit, it stays put and doesn't slide about. Good number of pockets also. So - good result!!

Beautiful

Normally a 14 (5'1" ) but as per others reviews went for a 12 petit and it's a perfect fit. Looks stylish is fabulously waterproof, feels light but beautifully warm. I love 💘 it. Thanks Seasalt great design and quality 😊

Best coat ever!

Had my eye on this coat for some time being in need of a good weatherproof coat that is warm. Bought in bitter chocolate colour. I love the colour. It's got a hint of aubergine in it and not boring Brown at all. The fit is good. I am usually size 12-14 and bought a 12 which is ample. It's warm, it's waterproof, looks great. I think it will last for years. Thanks!

sad

This was a much looked forward coat, I had been on the lookout for a great YELLOW COAT as seen on your website photo. I was slightly confused that the colour was OAK. odd for a deep custard .
I was devastated when this dark dijon mustard coat emerged.
I am a huge fan of Sseasalt, live in it. Boo hoo
