Fully waterproof, windproof and breathable.

Our Plant Hunter Coat is a relaxed-fitting, parka-style coat ready to take on the elements. Made from our innovative, beautifully soft, cotton-rich Tin Cloth® fabric, it falls to mid-thigh at the front and has a dipped, fishtail hem at the back with snap fastening vent. The top half of the coat is lined with cosy fleece fabric, while the bottom half is quilted to keep the chill at bay throughout the winter. The cosy, fleece-lined hood has an adjustable drawcord, and it has a handy two-way zip, snap fastening front pockets and poppered cuffs so you can roll the sleeves up or down. It also has an internal waist drawcord.

TIN CLOTH®
Inspired by traditional oilskins, our unique Tin Cloth® coats and jackets are crafted from hard wearing natural fabrics finished with our high-performance waterproofing treatment. The result is a waterproof, windproof and breathable jacket with a soft yet durable finish.

perfect autumn coat

The perfect coat for a wet chilly autumn . Just the right amount of padding to keep out the chill and waterproof without looking like a raincoat . The hood stays up and I love the soft cuddly fleece lining . I ordered coal although tempted by Peacock . I avoid black near my face but coal is a great alternative . At the advice of the helpful lady who took my order I got a size 12 when I am often a 14 in less generous makes , the fit is just right not to bulky but I can fit a medium weight jumper under . I love the right clothing for the unpredictable weather and Plant hunter is definitely right for the cold and wet.

Brilliant Coat

Fantastic coat, very lightweight but extremely warm. I love the knee length and coal colour! I'm really hoping for some proper winter weather now to test it properly

Nice But

NIce coat and so pleased NOT to have navy stripes showing in the hood, just too warm for my purpose so I returned it.PLease more of these subdued colours [mine was 'coal' a lovely grainy dark charcoal] that go with everything.Even so the lining was the inevitable 'navy' like most of your coats ,Why not matching the outside?

Beautiful coat

I am delighted with this coat, which arrived this morning. I ordered a size up, but I would say that the coat is absolutely true to size, so it's a little big but that's perfect with winter coming up.

The coat is incredibly light weight, soft, beautifully lined and nice and long. I am tall, but the sleeves are plenty long enough.

I expected this coat to be nice, but it has far exceeded my expectations. It is perfect for the cold, windy wet days we are currently experiencing!

Winter coat

The coat is lovely and warm without being heavy. The peacock colour is quite subtle not bright. Sadly I had to return the coat as the waist adjuster was too high for my tall frame.

winter tested

I took this coat with me for a long weekend to Reykjavik - it kept me warm and dry when it didn't get above 4 degrees and saw all manner of rain, hail and snow. Brilliant!

fantastic coat

So pleased with my plant hunter's coat: light warm and fits my size 16 well leaving room for winter woolies. Peacock colour is great too- cheerful but not over-bright.

Proud as a peacock!

Lightweight but very snug at the same time. The peacock shade is lovely, I was concerned it might be too pale for dog walking but luckily not. It reminds me of my son's old faded Boy Scout shirt. Very happy.
For those that are unhappy with the low level mobile pocket I like the idea. I hate having to undo a zip to get to my phone when I'm out in the rain so the ability to reach it without undoing any fastenings is a bonus. There are always the hand pockets as an alternative.
