Dry Point - Aspen size 20

I really love this jacket. It has a similar length and shape to my well loved Plant Hunter coat. It also has the 2 zippers which is great for adjusting if you don't want to zip it all the way up, I keep the lower half unzipped for driving etc. I got the 20 which is my usual seasalt size. It is loose and can easily fit layers under. I probably could fit in an 18 but the cut of this is intended to be loose and it falls really flatteringly so I'd still say it is true to size.

Very pleased

I'll start by saying the Fit Finder was accurate - I was planing to get a 10, but as it was out of stock I was pleased the Fit Finder ended up recommending an 8 on the very last question. I have a couple of Seasalt coats and am currently wearing a 10 in the Janelle. Comparing the measurements made it really helpful to determine an 8 would likely fit, and it did just as hoped once it came in.

I'm really happy with this coat. It's lightweight and flexible, easy to jump in the car. I know there are some comments about the hood not having drawstrings, but I'm not too concerned about that as I'm not typically out on very windy days or during downpours and I just wanted this for running to the store on misty or rainy days.

I'm 5'10" / 30 years old and one of my main reasons for continually buying from the brand is that the sleeves are long enough for me, and that the coat is knee length at the back and just above the knee at the front. I love the Aspen colour and the styling as well.

I'm from Toronto, Canada and happened upon the brand by accident, but am very happy to add this to my closet!

Rain coat

This is by far the best coat I have ever bought. It really is exactly the right weight, material and fit. It'll keep me dry on our coastal walks and when the sun is shining it folds up and fits easily into my bag. Thank you Seasalt

Lovely, light raincoat

Love the colour (my daughter said I look cool!). I really wanted a lightweight longer raincoat to replace my warmer one for rainy and milder days and this is perfect. Plenty of room for a jumper underneath.

Hood doesn’t adjust

This would have been perfect for warmer weather - but it has no hood adjustment and so the hood will blow off in the wind. Such a shame - another fantastic coat by Seasalt - but one vital detail missing. I’ve returned mine but I’m hoping the design will be updated following the reviews.

Versatile breathable waterproof

Great lightweight waterproof.
So difficult to find a decent BREATHABLE waterproof in a size above an 18 that doesn't make you feel like a 'boil in the bag chicken'. This does the trick!
Would love to see this in more colours like a darker teal, slate grey, berry red....would also like to see a jacket in a similar lightweight breathable fabric but shorter for walking/hiking in. 🙂

Just what I wanted!

I wanted a lightweight, rainproof, breathable coat, with room to layer up underneath in cold weather but light enough for inclement summer days too, and this is exactly what I now have, courtesy of Seasalt. Excellent for dog walking! It's very well made and I like the colour. Pockets are deep with a protection flap to stop water getting in, but no zips, and because the fabric is so lightweight, I'm not sure I'd trust my keys in the pockets in case the weight and edges of the metal chafe the fabric. My one real quibble is that the hood won't stay up if it's windy.

Such a beautiful coat...

I absolutely love this coat. It’s a beautiful dark teal colour, which will be great for summer wear, and it’s flattering for larger sizes. It folds up small so it will be great for travelling or for those in between days, when it might rain. I haven’t tested it in the rain yet, but if it’s the usual Seasalt quality, I’m pretty certain it will be fine. There’s also excellent advice about keeping it waterproof when washing. I doesn’t have a lot of pockets, which keeps it streamlined.
