Disappointed again

Bought one of these dresses last season but had to return it due to bald patches! Sadly this season’s version was much the same. Very disappointed. I question the quality of some of Seasalt’s garments...a general dumming down of materials & workmanship in my opinion.

Beautiful dress

Love this dress, so autumnal, great fabric, lovely fit and love that you can wear on own or layer it with a jumper underneath.

Martindale rhubarb fine needle cord dress

This style always fits for my size 16 [sometimes others do not!!] Love the style the colour and the feel of the dress. I absolutely love it. No all set for the autumn / winter.

Lining hadn't been hemmed properly

I'm a big fan of Seasalt, but was disappointed by this dress. It looks just as beautiful as one would expect, and the pockets are great, but after I laundered it (at 30 deg as instructed, on a gentle cycle) the inner lining hung down below the hem. The lining hadn't been hemmed properly, merely ironed into a fold, and this fold naturally didn't survive the wash. I had to hem the lining myself, which I wouldn't expect to do for a dress which cost me £75!

tight shoulders

I seem to be between sizes at Seasalt and so bought this in two sizes because I love the colours and style. Both sizes were tight across the shoulders and back, so I'll be in trouble if I ever have to reach up high quickly... in the end I went with the smaller size, and do like the style and length ... but won't be waving wildly at anyone while wearing it.

I love the shimmery contrast between the two colours on this dress, it makes it really stand out.

My favourite dress this year

I absolutely love this dress, I can dress it up with tights and heels but I like it best with leggings and boots. The navy/gold colour is unlike anything else I've seen in the shops this year. The needlecord fabric isn't too thick, so it drapes beautifully.
Perfect fit, just above the knee (I'm 5'7).

This dress is very comfy to wear, from a fabric point of view but also shape. So I use it as a casual garment (lovely with silver flat shoes) as well as for professional occasions.

I did not have any issues with the fit like other people mentioned, it was just right for me. I feel like I bought a size bigger but I think I'm just kidding myself and this is now my actual size - sigh.

I'm on the large side and ordered a 24, it was a bit big and probably a 22 would have done.
However, I am also 5'8", and could barely reach the pockets they are so low down, very odd, as is the horizontal seam which runs across the front of the garment just above the unreachable pockets.
I love the fabric and the colour, PLEASE use it to make tunics and I will buy one.
The dress, on me, was a disaster and I have returned it.

Lovely fabric poor fit on me

Well made, lovely fabric, the dress would have been perfect if it had been A-line in shape as apposed to straight up and down, this meant it was tight over my hips, this would have been OK with a stretchy fabric. I disappointedly returned it. On the photo on the web site the dress did look slightly A-line and it is described as having a relaxed fit, I think it is on the small side for that description.
