Amazing dress!

I love love love this dress! I bought it first in bathing beauties and was so on board to buy the green oars version but it was on sale so soon after it's release and then sold out before I knew it. Very disappointed with that!! Will teach me to buy as soon as I see something I like I guess! >.<

A Lovely Dress

I love this dress!! Layered Leaf Salt is a gorgeous and sophisticated print which will co-ordinate with lots of different coloured accessories. The style of the dress is simple and comfortable with a neat side zip. The length is just below the knee and the waist and hip sizing are spot on. The top half is a little large, but not noticeably so. (I am 5"9" and a size 18).

Disappointed

I loved the material in this dress but the fit was poor (for me). The waist was far too high making for an uncomfortable fit. I would much prefer looser styles for summer as 'fit and flare' is too close fitting making them hotter to wear. Please make some sleeveless 'shift' dresses next year!

The colour scheme is different to the one presented

I very much liked this dress in the Calathea Leaves Herring pattern. It looks a bit special and also was sold out very quickly and I didn't order in time. I was very pleased when it reappeared and I ordered my usual size 12 in which I have bought a few dresses from Seasalt already.
The background colour looks beige in the presented photos and I was quite surprised when I unpacked the parcel and the dress is more like turquoise with a hint of grey. Quite a lot darker than expected which makes the leaves not so shiny. Also the size 12 is quite tight. I can still wear it but I should definitely not put on any more weight since it would be too uncomfortable to breath. So I agree with the other reviews that the fit in this pattern is a bit tighter than expected. The belt at the back is unnecessary and would prefer it without it.
As other reviews said, the zip area around the belt is very tight and seems to be sewed to the belt so it makes it quite difficult to zip up. Each time I do it, I am worried that I will damage the zip.
Also I don't think it is suitable for ladies with bigger bust. I am cup B and it is just right and tight.
So eventhough I still like it and will keep it, this time I feel a bit disappointed with my purchase and if I wasn't outside the UK, I might have returned it.

Disappointing

The fabric is a beautiful design, but I was so disappointed that it isn't lined. I bought 3 dresses earlier in the season all of which are lined with a very soft cotton which help the other dresses drape well and actually keeps you cool in the hot weather. I found this dress rather stiff, although it may soften after washing. Such a shame that it's not the quality of previous dresses. I returned it.

Lovely dress

I wore it all day and loved it. The bodice could have been a little wider for even better comfort, but I loved it all the same. The length was perfect, I am 5ft 2 inches.
(Layered Leaf Salt print in size 18)
Perfect for out and about on a summers day.

Petite version please!

I very much liked this dress, although I agree with others that pockets would be welcome and the ties are unnecessary. I would have kept it if it had fitted but I am just 5ft tall and the size 6 was far too long in the body. The armholes and neck gaped. Is there any chance that you could produce a petite range? (Have rated it as true to size because it probably is for someone ov average height.)

Perfect shape seamstress!

Gorgeous dress. I had one already in different fabric. True to size. Lovely flattering fit. And can be worn by any age really as a classic style. Lovely for summer days and parties and also for work. Gorgeous fabrics.

Seamstress dress

layered leaf salt was a beautiful dress. it fitted perfectly.
Calathea leaves herring was also a beautiful dress but much smaller than the layered leaf salt so it was a bit tight. In hindsight I should have sent it back but as they were supposed to be the same size didn't think about it at the time. Shall have to go on a diet!!

badly cut bodice

This dress should be perfect. Its just my style. The fabric and pattern are delightful and the colours are great. The skirt hangs beautifully and its clearly well made. The problem is the bodice whch is cut too short. I find its about an inch too high at the neckline to be flattering but the main problem is the waist which is far too high. The waistband falls just underneath my bust when it should sit nicely on the waist. Very unflattering! I don't usually have this problem with Seasalt dresses but this one seems to be designed for somebody with a very small bust
