Thanks From The Cornish Maritime Trust

One of our talented Graphics team, Elly Jahnz, recently designed a marvellous jute bag especially for our friends at the Cornish Maritime Trust. This local charity looks after and sails four beautiful historic boats, which of course is right up our alley! We sold these special charity jute bags in our shops, with a donation from each to the Trust in order to help them maintain the vessels. We managed to raise £2500 and they recently sent us this very lovely letter of thanks on behalf of the trustees.

” I wanted to sincerely thank you and your Company for the fund raising that you orchestrated in 2013 on behalf of the Cornish Maritime Trust.

As you know the maintenance costs of these wonderful heritage boats is always expensive. It`s particularly so as we try to preserve their uniqueness. This has to be balanced against the needs and necessity of safety in a modern seafaring environment, which is also expensive !

This was an enormously valuable contribution to the Trust`s funds and we are very grateful.

One of their ships, Barnabas, made three trips to France this summer and was in need of some TLC, so the money will be going to good use!
Sailing fans are able to join the Trust for a fee and, in turn, have access to the wonderful four vessels in its fleet.
