The entries flooded in for our charity Christmas card competition this year and the judging took place this morning. We know all the budding designers are keen to know if they have won, so drum roll please…
We’re delighted to reveal the winners of this year’s charity Christmas card competition! They are:
- Raine Clarke from West Lothian
- Ewan Jones (age 12) from Cardiff
- Faith Davies from Perranporth
- Val Newman from Somerset
- Jacquie Heathcote from Surrey
We had nearly three hundred beautiful entries this year and our judges had a very difficult time picking out just five winning designs. In the end the lucky winners were chosen because it was felt they had really captured the ‘Coastal Christmas’ theme we set. Our judging panel this year comprised of Gina Moore, Southwest Regional Fundraising Manager for the Fishermen’s Mission, Paul Trudgian, founder of Fish For Thought and of our very own Design Director, Laura Watson.
The set of five cards will go on sale from 4th November for just £3.50 in our shops, our catalogue and online with all the money going to the Fishermen’s Mission – a charity supporting our coastal communities and giving emergency support and care to our fishermen and their families.
A huge congratulations must go out to our winners who as well as seeing their designs in print, will also each receive a lovely £50 Seasalt voucher to spend on whatever they like and a £50 of fresh Cornish seafood from Fish For Thought delivered straight to their door – both prizes nicely timed for a pre-Christmas treat! The shortlisted entries will each recieve a lovely Seasalt jute bag!
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to create a fabulous array of unique, colourful and occasionally humorous designs. We had a wonderful time seeing each one as they came in and now all we can think about is a nice cuppa and a mince pie…
