The Inspiration Behind This Month’s Prints: Dod Procter
This month our collection is inspired by the life and work of Dod Procter, an artist whose portraits of local women and evocative flower paintings capture West Cornwall’s famous silver light beautifully. Throughout the collection you’ll find 1920s-inspired prints, as well as prints in intense yellows and deco-style florals, all designed by our print designers here in Falmouth.
Deco Gulls Voyage
This fun print features flying seagulls overhead and has a stylish art deco feel.
Inked Floral
Inspired by textile prints from the 1920s and 30s, Sophie drew these flowers and leaves using a Chinese brush pen, resulting in a print full of movement and style.
In two bold colours, Siskin and Night, our Inked Floral print can be found on our Larissa Shirt, Northdown Dress and Quillet Skirt. You’ll even find this month’s print on our new cut fabric, so you can wear it however you like.
Chalk Floral
This elegant design was based on chalky floral shapes from Kathryn’s sketch book
Vintage Leaf
Vintage wallpaper designs inspired Sophie to create this stylised leaf print, with washes of juicy Cornish colour.
