tackling dartmoor in the dark. in aid of the fishermen’s mission

We do all sorts of stuff for charity here at Seasalt – usually it involves baking or eating cakes! However, we’re about to embark on something a bit less calorific and all in aid of the Fishermen’s Mission. A team of four from Seasalt (Sian, Emma, Rachel and Helen) will be taking part in the Midnight Madness Walk – a 13 mile hike across Dartmoor next Saturday, in the middle of the night!

Never mind the numerous potential trip hazards of roaming around the moor in the pitch black, there’s also sheep to contend with, who stealthily graze in the night only to be discovered when you fall over them! And rather than the glorious clear starry skies of summer, this being ‘Blighty’ we could quite possibly experience constant miserable drizzle or downpours!

But we have our boots, compasses and Kendall Mint Cake at the ready, so now we just need your support. The Fishermen’s Mission is an amazing charity supporting fishermen, their families and fishing communities and as well as Christmas cards, cake baking for Fish Friday and our Charity Sailor Shirt we wanted to take part in this unique challenge to help raise more funds to help with their work.

All sponsorship is appreciated – DONATE HERE >> Virgin Fundraising Page. We will of course be reporting back with piccies on how we got on!
