A little while ago, I won Seasalt’s Big Bake Off, which was arranged in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Not only did the Bake off raise over £200 for the cause, I also ended up on a bread making course with Baker Tom himself!!

The course was held at the Scarlet Hotel in Mawgan Porth, on a particularly drizzly Sunday. We baked a number of different breads from Soda to Focaccia breads. Here are some images from my day out…

    I went on Baker Tom’s course last Sunday and it was wonderful!! It was at Bedruthan Steps Hotel, though, not Scarlet (which is next door and owned by the same people). I have a freezer full of fresh yeast and a large jar of sourdough starter in the fridge! Loved every minute of it.
