Crebawthan Dress, available from April

We’ve used bamboo-derived viscose in our clothing and socks for many years. With wonderful natural qualities and sustainable credentials too, here’s why the design team love featuring it in our collections.

Soft & flattering

Woven into silky soft jersey, bamboo derived viscose is comfortable and easy to wear. Its flattering drape is naturally anti-static and it casually skims the curves of the body.

Easy to care for

Some of our favourite dresses and tops are made from this fabric, which is so easy to look after. Fuss-free, just pop it in the machine at 30 degrees, then air dry.

Cool in summer, warm in winter

Viscose made from bamboo is warm yet naturally breathable so it offers you warmth in the colder months and cools you down in the heat.

Sustainably grown

Bamboo grows quickly without the need for harmful pesticides and fertilisers. It thrives on rainwater and flourishes in places that wouldn’t suit many other crops. It is also cut when it’s harvested, rather than being uprooted, which is better for the soil.

We design with the product’s entire life cycle in mind, so the fact that bamboo fibres biodegrade in 45 days is a big tick for us.
