An arty theme for our February windows

Take a look into our artist inspired February windows thoughtfully created by our windows team in Falmouth.

This season, we’ve been exploring the life and work of sisters Virginia Woolf and Vanessa Bell, who spent the long summers of their childhood at Talland House in St Ives. The girls drew inspiration from the artistic community of west Cornwall, some of whom became lifelong friends.

For our February collection, we looked to the historic Porthmeor Studios.  This creative hub has been home to some of the UK’s most influential artists over the years, with incredible views out over the white sands and azure seas.

Our windows team was particularly taken with the paint-splattered floor boards in the studios, which were painstakingly preserved when the building was renovated. They’ve recreated the look by taking plain wooden boards as their canvas and layering up shades of blue paint, producing hundreds of unique works of art. The perfect backdrop for our studio-inspired collection!

You can see their creations now in Seasalt shop windows all across the country.
