The sun is shining and there’s a bank holiday around the corner so we’ve spent most of today thinking about all the ways we’re going to spend our three day weekend. Here’s what we’ve come up with…
Spending days at the beach
We’ll be whiling away the hours skimming stones, rock pooling and picnicking on the sand. If you’re taking little ones to the beach why not make a list of things to spot before you go and see how many you can tick off.
Here’s what we’ll be looking for:
Let us know what you find, we’d love to see your photos.
Swimming at Jubilee Pool
It’s been two years since Jubilee Pool suffered such severe storm damage the pool was forced to closed. After a lot of hard work and fundraising by volunteers the pool is due to reopen on Saturday (28th May). We’re big fans of Jubilee Pool with many of us enjoying a swim there or a sunbathe along the side in the past, and we’ve been helping them to raise funds. Needless to say we’re really excited that the pool is reopening and will be popping down for a swim.
Going for a long coastal walk
With around 300 miles of the South West Coast Path located along Cornwall’s coastline we’re never short of somewhere to explore. Whether it’s with wellies, a RAIN coat and flask of tea, or shorts, sandals and picnic, a walk along the coast path is always high on our to do list.
If the weather decides to take a turn for the worse we’ll be holed up inside getting creative. We’ll be baking cakes, building forts with the children to watch films in, or building on our school of fabric fish. If you fancy making your own fishy friend too, there’s a handy how to guide here.
