Inspired by Sophie's favourite French market basket, our Large Coast Path Basket has a simple, authentic feel. Made from natural straw,it has a flat bottom so it stands up and hinged handles which can be folded in when you're not using it. It's slightly tapered, making it easy to stack multiple baskets on top of one another. Perfect for shopping or storage, it's an ideal addition to your home.

Disappointing

Must say I am more than disappointed with this basket. Not the same shade as in the photo, more a greenish tinge which is not attractive. But most importantly, the basket doesn’t stand up on it own! This renders it useless for storage or the beach (what I intended it for and what the product description suggests) unless you’ve something to stand it up against.. Seasalt, you have to review your photos of this product because the base is not as shown. It is curved meaning it falls over when put down. The photos imply the base is flat and the bag will stand up. Misleading. Am returning.

Lovely, spacious basket

I love my coastal shopping basket ! It is very spacious and useful !

However, I would like to send feedback to the Seasalt team .. I have noticed, that the weaving is rather delicate & it would have been better if a piece of leather (maybe the same used as the Seasalt tag) would have been sewn in or taped around the handles for extra support, as the basket weaving is already becoming unwoven due to holding the handles. This is such a shame, as I have only been using my basket for one week... since I purchased it.

Other than that, I absolute love it 😊 thank you .

Beautiful Basket

I purchased this basket for my daughter. I wanted something with a dual purpose as she is due to have her first baby. I used it as a layette and once all the clothes and toys and home made bootees are used it can be a picnic basket for days out or a shopping basket. It is incredibly well made with lovely handles.

Brilliant Basket

This is a beautiful, very strong versatile basket. When I’m not using it for shopping, or work, it stores my sketchbooks and other projects. It looks really brilliant and has attracted admiration from friends

Birthday present

I purchased this bag for my daughters birthday and she was over the moon with it. It is well made and a good generous size.
