Smocks
Smocks have played an integral part in Cornish life since anyone can remember. Originally created as hardy workwear and worn by fishermen, they were made from tough canvas with a pull on design and handy pockets, essential for stashing bait, hooks and other important fishing paraphernalia.
Over the years they’ve become popular with lots of other people, like gardeners and artists, who appreciate the functional and classic features. We’ve adapted the design to create feminine interpretations, in soft fabrics and pretty sun bleached colours, but we also stock the original, which is made for us by friends who live and work on the Cornish coast.
