Our designs are inspired by the lovely surroundings and the nautical heritage of Cornwall - the rugged north coast, the lush south, the harbours and boats, and the great sub-tropical gardens, like Heligan, Trebah, and Trevarno.
And more than that, it's the generations of creative people that have made Cornwall their home, from the Newlyn School of painters in the late 19th century, to St. Ives artists like Terry Frost, Patrick Heron and Barbara Hepworth, and all the current artists that live, work and study here.
Sophie Chadwick and Laura Watson are our textile designers and they always aim for a handcrafted look, usually starting the process with hand sketches, paintings and drawings. When they are happy with the design they then work on scale, repeat and colours, to end up with a finished design that is uniquely Seasalt. We hope you like them.
