About our products

Why organic?

We were the first fashion company ever to get garments certified to Soil Association standards. Neil and Sophie Chadwick saw first-hand the positive impact that buying organic can have, and they decided that Seasalt would always produce as much clothing organically as they could. 

Is everything organic?

It isn’t always possible to use environmentally friendly materials but around 50% of our cotton clothing is organic. And we’re always trying to reduce our environmental impact across the whole business. 

Where are Seasalt clothes manufactured?

Our products are mainly manufactured in India, Sri Lanka, Turkey and China, and we have a 'Locally Made' collection we manufacture locally in the South West, Guernsey and across the UK. And we hope that by next year 10% of our clothing range will be made in the UK. We have a strict policy in sourcing our manufacturers, both at home and abroad, and are signed up to the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code.

We will not rent, sell or lease this personally identifiable information to other companies or individuals. Please read our Privacy Policy

How can I change my account details?

Log on to your account and select ‘My Details’. Here you can update your contact information, account preferences, password and saved addresses. 

Shopping

I've tried using the search box but can't find what I'm looking for.

Check for spelling mistakes, try searching using different words, broaden your search, or contact us and we’ll be happy to help.  

I want an item but it's out of stock online, can I find it anywhere else?

We do refresh our online stock; please contact us to find out if the item you want is going to be re-available online. Alternatively, check out your nearest shop

How do I make a purchase?

Find the product you would like to buy, select the size and colour, and click ‘add to bag’. You can now carry on browsing and adding items, check your bag and edit its contents, or proceed to checkout. At the checkout, you’ll be asked to provide delivery and payment details. Once your delivery details are filled in you will be able to proceed to payment. When the order is successful you’ll see an order confirmation page and also receive an order confirmation email. Store Gift Vouchers

Are Seasalt gift vouchers available for purchase?

Yes, they certainly are. At the moment they are only available to buy in shop or over the phone, for more information please call 01326 640075.

What denominations can I buy them in?

Any. The minimum order value is £5.00.

Can they be used in shop and online?

Our vouchers are currently only redeemable in shops or over the phone. 

Do they have to be used within a specified timeframe?

Our gift vouchers have an expiry date of 18 months from date of issue.

What happens if the gift card is lost?

If you’ve lost your gift card, please get in contact with us.

Gift Wrap

How do I order gift wrap?

Simply select gift wrap within your shopping bag or at the delivery details stage at the checkout. Just tick the box!

How much is it?

It is a standard amount of £4.95 to wrap any order, regardless of how big or small.

Can different items be wrapped separately?

If you wanted certain products wrapping separately, and sending to different recipients, you will need to place the orders separately.

Can I gift wrap part of my order, but not all of it?

No, gift wrap can only be applied to a whole order, not part of it. If multiple items are bought at one time, we will select the best size of box or boxes to fit your order.

What does the gift wrap look like?

The gift wrap is suitable for any occasion: birthdays, Christmas and any other celebration. Items are carefully wrapped in blue tissue paper and placed in a spotty Seasalt gift box. Inside we will also include a gift card with your message which you can specify at the checkout. The gift box will then be placed inside our usual Seasalt delivery wrapping to protect the gift box.

Will the recipient be able to see the prices?

No, at the checkout you can specify whether you would like the prices to be hidden on the packing slip.

Payment

What payment methods do Seasalt accept?

We accept online payment in a secure environment with Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards, as well as Maestro, Visa Electron and Visa Debit cards. We also accept payment via PayPal. 

Is it safe to use my credit card online with Seasalt?

Yes. To protect cardholders, all orders are screened using 3D Secure (MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa) and by an independent fraud prevention service. We may contact you for additional security purposes should we deem this necessary. The Seasalt site is also certified quarterly by Security Metrics, for more information read our Security Policy

Can I order over the telephone?

How do I redeem a special offer or promotion code?

Special offers, such as 2 for 1, are automatically applied at the checkout. Promotion codes are very easy to use – you just need to type the code into the box provided in your shopping bag. Sign up to our email list to make sure you hear about all the Seasalt promotions.

Do prices include VAT?

If you're ordering from the UK or European Union all prices are shown in sterling and include 20% VAT on adult’s clothing and 0% VAT on gift vouchers. If you are ordering from outside the UK and European Union or from the Channel Islands all prices are shown in sterling and exclude VAT.

How will I know you've received my order and payment has been taken?

You’ll receive an order confirmation email once a successful order has been placed. Your card will not be debited until we are despatching the goods, at which point you’ll get an order despatch email. 

Can I add items to existing orders?

If your order hasn’t yet been despatched, please call us and we’ll try to get extra items added. If your order has already been despatched you’ll need to place a new order for the additional items.

Can I cancel an order once it has been placed?

Yes, as long as it hasn’t been despatched. Please give us a call and we’ll arrange this for you. 

Delivery

All next day delivery orders are sent via DPD. Orders can be tracked by contacting Customer Services on 01326 640075. If you’ve provided us with a mobile telephone number you'll receive a text message alert an hour before delivery, if you're not in you'll be given the option for the parcel to be left with a neighbour or to rearrange delivery. If you haven't provided a mobile telephone number and you’re not in when the parcel is delivered we’ll leave a card with details on how to rearrange delivery. 

All standard UK orders are sent via the Royal Mail Track and Trace service.

Unfortunately, Seasalt do not ship to BFPO addresses.

Overseas orders to Spain, Italy, Greece and the Netherlands are sent by international recorded service. All other international orders are sent unrecorded.

Is next day delivery available?

Yes, we offer a next day delivery service to most parts of the UK, as long as orders are placed before 3pm, Monday - Friday. It is not however available to the Channel Islands, on UK Bank Holidays and is not guaranteed to the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and remote parts of Scotland.

All next day delivery orders are sent via DPD. Orders can be tracked by contacting Customer Services on 01326 640075. If you’ve provided us with a mobile telephone number you'll receive a text message alert an hour before delivery, if you're not in you'll be given the option for the parcel to be left with a neighbour or to rearrange delivery. If you haven't provided a mobile telephone number and you’re not in when the parcel is delivered we’ll leave a card with details on how to rearrange delivery. 

Do I need to sign for my order?

We won’t need a signature for standard UK deliveries. However, we will need a signature for next day deliveries - if you’ve provided us with a mobile telephone number you'll receive a text message alert an hour before delivery, if you're not in you'll be given the option for the parcel to be left with a neighbour or to rearrange delivery. If you haven't provided a mobile telephone number and you’re not in when the parcel is delivered we’ll leave a card with details on how to rearrange delivery. 

What is Christmas Express Delivery?

Christmas Express Delivery is a faster delivery services to ensure that your order will arrive in time for Christmas. Please note that orders must be placed before midnight Sunday 22nd December to be despatched by Monday 23rd December and will be sent using DPD

Do Seasalt ship to BFPO addresses?

Sorry, not at the moment. 

Can I track my delivery?

Yes. We use Royal Mail Track and Trace. When your order has been despatched we’ll send you a confirmation email which will include your tracking number. This can be used to track your order as it makes its way to your door. Please note, that Track and Trace isn't available for Next Day Delivery orders, to track these orders please call Customer Services on 01326 640075.

Can I change my delivery address after my order has been despatched?

Sorry, no. 

What should I do if I think my order is lost?

Firstly, check your tracking number with Royal Mail. If it has been more than 10 working days since your order was despatched please contact us and we’ll arrange for a replacement to be sent. 

Exchanges, returns and refunds

What do I do if there's something wrong with my order?

Please contact us and we can advise you on what we can do to help. 

How long do I have to make a return or exchange?

 For purchases, we ask that you send your purchase back within 28 days of receipt of goods, making sure it's unused and good as new in its original packaging with all info tags still attached (this does not affect your statutory rights). Find out more about our no quibbles Returns Policy.

How do I return an item?

There will be a form delivered with your goods. You can return items to us via Royal Mail, Collect+ or alternatively into your nearest Seasalt Shop. For more information please read our Returns & Exchanges page.

How do I exchange an item?

There will be a form delivered with your goods. For more information please read our Returns & Exchanges page.

What will happen if my exchange item is not in stock?

If you’re exchange item is not in stock we’ll issue a refund and contact you to let you know. 

How do I know you've received my returns?

If you have an account, you’ll be able to log in and see whether your item has been received. If you don’t have an account, please feel free to call us.

When am I entitled to a refund?

We can refund you as soon as the goods have been received and checked. And once we have refunded your account we will email you to let you know. 

How will Seasalt make my refund?

Your refund will be processed back onto the payment card you made the purchase with. 

Privacy

What type of information will Seasalt collect about me?

The type of information we collect about you includes: your name, address, phone number, and email address. These all help us make your Seasalt shopping experience as seamless as possible. Please read our Privacy Policy

How will you use my personal information?

When you provide personally identifiable information to Seasalt Limited, we may use it to provide you with information about Seasalt products and services.

Will you share it with anyone else?
