do you know this mermaid?

posted on August 31st, 2011 by sian

There’s a great walk over the back of Perran sand dunes before dropping down on to the beach just by the MOD boundary. I walk this with my black dog a lot and usually we’re pretty much the only people at that end of the beach – but on Monday we were rather surprised to find this magnificent mermaid.

a stroll through the garden

posted on August 18th, 2011 by Laura

We love a nice garden here at Seasalt! You just have to look at the prints in our collections to see that we get a lot of inspiration from the beautiful flowers that grow around us! We are really spoilt for choice with so many lovely gardens to visit in Cornwall such as Trebah, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden and Trevarno and that’s only a few!

Two weeks ago I went for a spontaneous visit to Trelissick Gardens, a beautiful National Trust estate on the water’s edge of the Fal Estuary near Truro. It was so beautiful and peaceful and the colours of all the different plants and flowers amazed me. I kicked myself that I had forgotten my camera at home so I snapped a few shots on my phone camera instead and they turned out pretty well so I thought I’d share them with you! When is a Ferry not a Ferry?

posted on August 10th, 2011 by Stephen

Recently we have noticed a rather wonderful old coach lurking round our office here in Falmouth sparking nostalgic memories of 80′s school trips, well for some anyway. On closer inspection not all is as it seems, this grand 1969 AEC Reliance/Plaxton coach sports the branding of King Harry Coaches and displays ‘Cruise Ship’ as it’s destination. It’s not such a strange title as the coach is actually a cruise ship shuttle bus, though what it was doing here is anyone’s guess, a surprise cruise holiday for us all perhaps?
