Daymer Bay

We asked all our shops to choose one place not to miss near them, and this is what Seasalt Rock chose…

“A beautiful, secluded beach which only the locals know about…. We reckon this is one of Cornwall’s best kept secrets.

“Daymer Bay is quite literally isolated compared to its popular neighbours Rock and Polzeath, so it’s the perfect spot to escape the crowds. Located at the mouth of the Camel Estuary the waters are pretty sheltered, so great for bathing and swimming.  Pack a BBQ and pick up your ice-cream at the local shop.

“But if you don’t fancy dipping a toe into the Atlantic, then put on your hiking shoes and head south to Braey Hill for great views and St. Endodoc Church, or ‘Sinking Neddy’, where John Betjeman is buried.”
