Looking for a way to escape this cloudy summer weather? If you’re in Cornwall during July head over to Penzance where the annual literary festival is running Wednesday 25th to Sunday 29th.
The line-up is looking pretty formidable, with national names including Guardian columnist Michele Hanson, marine biologist and fishing enthusiast Monty Hall, and Sarah Winman, author of best-selling novel When God Was a Rabbit. There’s also lots of Cornish flavour on the menu with workshops, talks and readings from local authors.
It’s not just books, there’s theatre and music too. And it’s not just for the grown-ups, lots for children and teens of all ages.
If you do head over, don’t forget to come say hello at the Seasalt shop on Adelaide Street.
