The Seasalt shop December raffle, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, saw hundreds of customers dig deep to support this amazing charity.
The annual raffle went incredibly well with an impressive £3,164 raised, nearly £1,000 more than 2010! And our lucky winner, Sharon from Sancreed near Penzance, received her prize of £500 of Seasalt vouchers just in time for Christmas.
Simon Iggulden, Retail Operations Manager for Seasalt, said ‘We’re very proud to be involved with raising money for Marie Curie. The charity is of immense importance to hundreds of cancer patients and their families across the South West. Our customers respond really well – it’s such a worthwhile cause, and of course the prize of £500 to spend in Seasalt is very popular!’
Seasalt’s annual raffle aims to help the charity continue to provide invaluable care and support. There are 30 Marie Curie nurses working across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, 365 days a year, dedicated to providing one on one care for people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Their services are provided completely free of charge and just £20 can pay for one hour of support and care for a patient and their family.
