over the country, Seasalt
window displays are full of
homemade scarves, donated

Cinnamon Trust...

go knit goes nuts! < previous story || next story >
The project was the idea of Kathryn Wild - Seasalt's award winning window dresser. She wanted to find a way to get the community involved in creating a beautiful window display, whilst raising money for charity. The project quickly grew and has received a huge amount of support from knitters all over the country with scarves been sent from as far away as the Isle of Mull.
She says "I have been completely bowled over and would like to thank everyone for their efforts... the response from passersby when they see the windows is so rewarding, everyone clusters around, pointing out their favourite!"
Over 400 homemade scarves have been donated by Go Knitters all of which will be going into the windows across Seasalt's shops. "The interest has been amazing, people are stopping outside the windows to look at each individual unique scarf"

Go Knit window displays will be in Seasalt stores during October 2008. Donations to the Cinnamon Trust can be made in all of our shops.

The scarves are on sale with all proceeds going to the Cinnamon Trust, a charity that was founded in Cornwall and now operates nationwide. It helps old people by arranging simple services such as dog walking through to finding pet friendly care homes and hospices as well as helping to pay vet bills. Their work is hugely important in supporting elderly and ill people to help relieve stress at difficult times
"Such supportive work is of great significance to the well-being of lots of elderly people and it's this care in the community aspect of the charity that really appealed to us here at Seasalt."
Chloe Wild, Seasalt's Marketing Manager
